If you had to venture a guess,
which LP/8-track/cassette/cd/digital album would you guess that you've listened to the most in your lifetime?...and, how about in the last calender year?
Mine:
Lifetime -
Led Zeppelin IV,
Sticky Fingers - The Rolling Stones,
Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins,
Ill Communication - Beastie Boys
This year -
The New Mud Earth - Chris Robinson
And I don't know what it is but for some reason Rod Stewart's "Every Picture Tells A Story" finds it's way to my turntable every Sunday morning.
Just such a great album.

that's really tough. Possibly The Clash's London Calling because I killed those records and my original vinyl packaging is in tatters. But there would be a lot of old albums that I had to replace from having played them too much. Starting with the Sound of Music soundtrack. My mom said that I burned through 3-4 copies of that when I was a kid.
The Past Year:
Sigur Ros - Hvarf-Heim or whatever they call the two disc CD that came out late last year.

i'd say its their third best album. but time will tell. a coupla tracks are a bit below par maybe.
There are a lot of other bands tunes thrown in there but i think that Noel hasnt written many better tunes than "falling down"and "the turning". I think those 2 tunes are the most original the man has ever written.
I didnt like "i'm outta time" at first, i even texted xfm to say i thought it lacked testicles but its grown on me a bit, its a nice breather after 4 tracks of loud.

and I went through a very turbulent time earlier this year when I kept listening to Carol King's Tapestry. I hope that I never have to go through that again...Some of the saddest songs ever put to tape are on that disc
I prefer to watch music DVD's when I'm home so I'd say AiC's Unplugged, Iron Maiden Live After Death and Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show Live '74 are always in play
I'll do this in threes.

Such a shame. I fell victim to this for a while too.
Shuffle is killing the Album, man.
I currently have a personal protest against the shuffle and only listen to my music in album format as it was intended to be listened to, even if it's on the Ipod.

Lifetime: Pretty much the entire Clash discography, most of the Beastie Boys albums, Nirvana's "Nevermind," Depeche Mode's "Violator," Radiohead's "The Bends" and "OK Computer" and others.
This past year: Sadly, I've only listened to any given album once or twice in full (maybe even the odd third time!) since I've been making a point of going through my collection alphabetically (I'm on the R's!).
This year? Hmmm.
Lately it's been a lot of Flying Lotus and Max Tundra. I can't remember anything really grabbing my attention like Year Zero did. I listened to it for months on end.
All time, it's a tie between NIN - The Downward Spiral & UNKLE - Psyence Fiction. I have actually bought each album twice. Second; Deftones - White Pony.

well i do listen to the full album at first. but once i've ingested everything the album has to offer i rarely listen to it in album form again.
here, here
but now i got a decent cd player in my car so i'm back to listening to albums. 9 at a time... once i've listened to 'em all, ill grab another 9 and stuff them in the car.
