I was a little hesitant, but if you say so...

well, let me say this: it does get a little chick flickery at times.
But still funny
I guess I'm easily amused though, I'm a pretty boring bastard.

I dun like kevin smith.

it's interesting how they're not even mentioning his name in the promotions.

prolly rent it on DVD when it comes out though. :/

I'll probably check it out. So is the "...make a porno" removed from the title or did you just not want to type it all out?

most of it was filmed here, so you should go see it just because of that....

some of my more trusted sources said it was pretty humorous so i'll probably try and catch it sometime

I saw it. I liked it. It was more graphic than I expected. Some guy sitting next to me kept yelling OH GOD I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH TO WATCH THIS and writing around in his seat, haha.

I never though I would consider a movie that had anything to do with a guy getting plowed by a girl with a strap-on "heartwarming"

I am tired of seeing the same people over and over in movies.

It had a few funny parts, but it was too graphic and uncomfortable.

since when is anything too graphic for you?

i too am tiring of these same faces, but isnt that how comedy movies work? its always a slowly revolving group of people who eventually get replaced with the next generation

Speaking of the same people in the same movies, anyone seen Role Models? is it even out yet? Looks funny to me, I'll probably see it.

yes, and this one really drug two comedy groups together, and it was genius. Like has been said, something that is so graphic still holds up as a sorta chick flick, haha. i thought it was ace, if you didn't like it... well, go watch notebook or something, smith wrote it extremely well and the whole cast did great.

Kevin Smith + Seth Rogen = Double the fail?

I heard there was like this "poo scene" and I was like "Wow. Kevin Smith's thematic interests must really lie in poo"
lol fail?

I was pretty dissapointed in this. Waaaay too cheesy. The whole Little Rascals-esque "hey gang, let's accomplish something together!" thing drove me nuts. Half those character were pointless and the "Zack actually doing something with his life" thing was so forced. I mean I laughed at some of the gags but the more I think about it the more I disliked it.

It does help that I saw it with a person who is my best friend and likes me and we made out once and it changed everything and yeah. Seriously. Awkward. Afterwards he was like "oh my god I am so sorry that we saw that together. That was bad".

And then not to even really show the movie or what came of it? The whole granny panties thing that was going to make the movie famous or whatever, their old high school friends seeing it, etc. Stupid.

Kevin Smith's dialogue was his normal witty and unnatural stuff. The Star Wars thing was really funny, and then just cast aside for the "oh no the building's been torn down!!" ? I don't know. Blah.

Yeah, this is definitely "The new Seth Rogan flick", and not "The new Kevin Smith" movie.

I've been listening to "New Frontier" by Donald Fagen routinely since I last saw this flick. It was in a brief scene with them in a bar. I was like oh shoot I love that song! Donald Fagen FTW

agreed. Also it definitely got a bit mushy for me. I like the mush kept to a minimum.

Whatever though. I was entertained though I don't think it'd be a repeat watch for me.

: / I had a good time. I find the longer I hang out with my girl the more watered down and less assy my sense of humor is. Also - I think Seth Rogan is a genious and he can do no wrong.

It sure was refreshing to have some eye candy for the ladies in a film for once. (y)

Yeah but I doubt I'll be in a hurry to watch this again, it was fun while it lasted. Interesting how they played on the fucking vs. making love issue.

I liked the chick flicky aspect...my girl and I had just had a debate about why I shouldn't have to sit though any of her girlie movies that I don't want to. Then we went and saw this and I left the theater like "See, that was heartwarming and sweet, yet hilarious!"

I saw it the other night, good, not great. It's one of those movies I think where the previews show the best parts. Also, the ending was dumb.

eh it was funny. it was really uncomfortable at moments, but not bad uncomfortable... it just really conveyed the characters' uncomfortableness well.
and it had very funny moments. but it wasn't GREAT. it was good. good enough. yep.

I guess I'm the only one with Skra on this. I really liked it. I wanted to watch it again after it ended. I actually sat through almost half of the 40+ extended and deleted scenes.

I thought the whole group doing something together thing was sweet, I actually thought how funny would it be for my crew to make a porno. Like not that we'd really do it but for a moment it actually made me feel like it could just be a funny, ridiculous thing.

I only enjoyed Craig Robinson saying "There's no such thing as free titties, is there, Zack?"

Craig Robinson and Justin Long were pretty much the only funny things in the movie. Jason Mewes fucking sucked. I don't recommend it. Maybe it'll get better the more times I watch it, but I don't see myself watching it again unless i'm stuck in bed with the flu and its on tv and i can't reach the remote.

Somebody needs to just let Craig Robinson be in his own movies. He's usually the best if not the only good thing about the movies he's in.

i thought this was more or less shit.

some funny bits, but the serious bits were shoe-horned in and felt completely out of place.

the funniest bit bar far were the gay couple at the reunion.

the man is a genius.. he steals every scene he is in, in every movie.
as for this movie, it's alright i guess but i couldn't watch it over and over. the ending is shithouse. it doesn't solve anything.
