I just don't understand. How is she cranky and or devious? She could be a bitch, I don't know. But all the hate on her is more about her being on the republican side than anything else. It sickens me as how the hard left people and media has treated her. Most of it is pure hate that is unwarranted.
people are concerned about palin because she's a totally incompetent, grossly ignorant, redneck bimbo jesus freak who is horny for the apocalypse.

You are totally 100% WRONG.

These are some of the reasons.
She is a female version of George W Bush, only worse . I mean that wholeheartedly. I think she needs to stay away from the continental 48. I would have no problem with someone like Hillary, or Condoleezza or any other educated woman being in office. But Sara Palin is a disaster waiting to happen.
Like Bush she is a person I wouldn't mind partying with. She seems like she would be a good time, especially in the sack, but be honest man, there is no way she should be a heart beat away from the presidency.
there was a quote in the paper today that i loved. it went something like
"don't tell my parents, but i voted for obama. i've always been a republican up until now. for this election, i thought that obama was just a charming, charismatic guy, but mccain was the one with the experience and the good judgment required to be president. but then he went and picked sarah palin as his running mate."

I never said she was a good pick for the position she was chosen for, I don't think she deserved some of the harsh criticism she has gotten. Sorry you can't see that! Especially the hate that was so prevelant in this board. Pure partisan hate, that was all it was. I know most most don't see her values as theirs, even me, but why be hateful?

I'm not a fan of Palin's. I'm sure she a nice lady. And she was just WAY out of her league. She tried to fake it and it didn't work.

Honestly, I'd still hit it. She hot.
If she hadn't started with the hate, then I doubt she'd have received as much in return.
McCain was constantly having to calm his supporters down after she'd whipped them in to a hate Obama frenzy.
Who knows, if she'd been less of a Pit Bull and more of a Hockey Mom, McCain might have won?

First of all, what accomplishments? Supporting the oft-talked about "Bridge to Nowhere"? Support of a group that wished for Alaska to secede from the United States? Whipping McCain supporters in to a bigoted fervor? Please explain.
Secondly, you can not discount her beliefs. Beliefs are what actions are based on. This is a woman who believes dinosaurs and humans walked the earth together 5000 years ago. She believes in creationist education, and abstinence-only sex education. Two outdated ideas that clearly do not work, and two ideas that are based ON HER BELIEFS.

LOL
anyway, regarding palin, the hate for her transcends partisanship. she herself incited hatred in conservative supporters. though she is well-spoken and has accomplished a lot, her lack of intelligence about world events, facts, etc. was/is appalling. she relied on cuteness to draw people in and it was totally gross. the people who fell for her act are idiots. that's a fact. "oh, she's just like me though". fuck that. I don't want some dumb ass PTA mom running the country. plenty of people are mothers. my mother's a mother, but she's in no way qualified to run a country. in fact, she's probably had more life experience and is more of a christian than sarah palin ever was. fuck sarah palin, seriously. I want her to disappear forever!
I want her to disappear forever!
Me too, but that's not likely to happen. Ever since she's been off the campaign trail and out of her handler's hands, she's been trying her best to keep herself in the news. I know it's been only a few days since the campaign ended, but not one of those days has passed that she hasn't been talking to the press, actively inviting them to her offices, and trying her best to make her voice heard.
The real Palin is, in fact, a person who has been given fame and is actively trying to run with it. It's no secret that she's made many enemies in both parties because of this. Look for her to try her hand at some kind of talk show.
I am not wrong at all!!!

I do agree that she doesn't deserve all the blame for the republican loss. That lies with a number of people. That doesn't exclude Palin, however. I see people falling (mostly) into two camps: one that wants to put all of the blame on her, and the protecting camp, who want none of the blame put on her. She was a major factor in this election, and with that comes the responsibility of taking some of the blame for a loss.
My main problem with her is her sense of entitlement. McCain was a hard worker, and you could tell that he was a fighter. He knew that the road to the white house was one that you had to constantly fight for, possibly because he's been down it before. Palin had this air of overconfidence, almost like she was meant for the white house, and that caused her to make several errors in judgment. She slipped up so many times it got to be old news, and her demeanor was almost childlike. "You can't hit me, I'm a girl" kind of thinking.
This is just my opinion, though. If anyone else feels this way, let me know.

Send Sarah Palin a message (http://michellemalkin.com/2008/11/06/send-a-message-to-sarah-palin/) and sign a petition (http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/thank-you-sarah-palin), they already have over 10,000 signatures let yours be one too. She did definitely help Obama get elected. We should be civil, kind and thank her for her efforts in rebuilding the republican party.

I don't know that Sarah Palin is a bitch or a diva, as has been alleged. I think that those are meaningless labels that would have been flung at any female candidate in her position. It's probably more instructive to transcend gender and assess her purely as a human candidate, in which case one is inevitably led to the conclusion that she is a monumentally comedic fool. The woman was way, way out of her depth and had no business attempting to compete on the level of people as intelligent as McCain, Obama, and Biden. Remember when those Quebecois pranksters pulled the wool over her eyes just a few days ago? Yeah.
I've read that there are apparently hardcore rightwing conservative diehards in the Republican party who see her as the future of conservatism because of her single-minded devotion to their ideology. All I can say is, yes please. Run her again. Not only is she the future of conservatism, she's the past and present as well - oblivious, clueless, ideological, irrelevant, and a disaster waiting to happen.

Well if they need someone to start a preemptive war to fuck up, make torture official policy, out a CIA agent, purge US attorneys, appoint cleaning ladies to the Supreme court, she is probably just the one they are looking for.

One thing is for certain about Palin, her line of attacks on Obama (questioning his patriotism) did coincide with a spike in white supremacist making threats on Obama's life, the Secret Service has now revealed. Whether she's a bitch or a diva, she's certainly an unwitting hate mongerer. (n)

It's unfortunately she can escape back to Alaska.....miles and miles away from the whole of America and the frenzy she has helped stir. Where is her accountability, where is her apology?
I also find it disgusting that REAL politically motivated hate crimes are receiving little press, but some lying psycho republican chick gets it all.

i have a hardcore conservative female friend (she's a mormon who, while pregnant, participated in the fast in support of proposition 8) and even she was disgusted by palin. if you can't fool someone who will starve their unborn child in order to prevent the gays from marrying, who exactly are you fooling?

Palin's intent was not to incite violence against Obama, though it did border on a lynch mob at those rallies. But those white supremacists were inspired to go even further than the hateful mobs who attended those rallies. The article doesn't discuss it as a "cause and effect" relationship, but moreso as a correlation.
You know the part that's the kicker? Palin did not consult the McCain campaign on her line of attacks and went ahead and did it anyways, much to the irritation of the campaign. She later was told to stop it.
The more news that emerges about Palin after this election, the more and more clear it has become that the U.S. dodged a bullet on Nov. 4th. Bush has been horrendous enough, but it would be nothing compared to the mayhem Palin would have unleashed, especially if something had happened to McCain.
Huge sigh of relief is breathed here, and let's make sure she's stopped in 2012.
i'm still amazed at the "she didn't know africa was a continent" thing. i hope that's not true. because shit like that is the type of thing people point to when they talk about how dumb the stereotypical american is, and if we had someone that dumb in the white house then how would i be able to respond to that? i'd say "oh that's just a stereotype, we're not all that dumb" and then whoever i'm talking to would go "oh yeah? look at your vice president" and i'd go "fuck, you're right"
but thank god that won't come up now

no one has captured or summarized sarah palin better than matt taibbi of rolling stone, in his sept. 27 article (http://www.alternet.org/story/100551/mad_dog_palin/) about her:
• a two-bit caricature culled from some cutting-room-floor episode of Roseanne as part of your presidential ticket. And if she's a good enough likeness of a loudmouthed middle-American archetype, as Sarah Palin is, John Q. Public will drop his giant-size bag of Doritos in gratitude, wipe the Sizzlin' Picante dust from his lips and rush to the booth to vote for her.
•Sarah Palin is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the modern United States. As a representative of our political system, she's a new low in reptilian villainy, the ultimate cynical masterwork of puppeteers like Karl Rove. But more than that, she is a horrifying symbol of how little we ask for in return for the total surrender of our political power.
•Not only is Sarah Palin a fraud, she's the tawdriest, most half-assed fraud imaginable, 20 floors below the lowest common denominator, a character too dumb even for daytime TV -and this country is going to eat her up, cheering her every step of the way. All because most Americans no longer have the energy to do anything but lie back and allow ourselves to be jacked off by the calculating thieves who run this grasping consumer paradise we call a nation.
•It even crossed my mind that there was an element of weirdly self-destructive pique in McCain's decision to cave in to his party's right-wing base in this fashion, that perhaps he was responding to being ordered by party elders away from a tepid, ideologically promiscuous hack like Joe Lieberman -- reportedly his real preference -- by picking the most obviously unqualified, doomed-to-fail joke of a Bible-thumping buffoon. As in: You want me to rally the base? Fine, I'll rally the base. Here, I'll choose this rifle-toting, serially pregnant moose killer who thinks God lobbies for oil pipelines. Happy now?
•Within minutes, Palin had given TV audiences a character infinitely recognizable to virtually every American: the small-town girl with just enough looks and a defiantly incurious mind who thinks the PTA minutes are Holy Writ, and injustice means the woman next door owning a slightly nicer set of drapes or flatware. Or the governorship, as it were.
•Sarah Palin is something new. She's all caricature. As the candidate of a party whose positions on individual issues are poll losers almost across the board, her shtick is not even designed to sell a line of policies. It's just designed to sell her. The thing was as much as admitted in the on-air gaffe by former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan, who was inadvertently caught saying on MSNBC that Palin wasn't the most qualified candidate, that the party "went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives."
•Sure, there was politics in the Palin speech, but it was all either silly lies or merely incidental fluffery buttressing the theatrical performance. A classic example of what was at work here came when Palin proudly introduced her Down syndrome baby, Trig, then stared into the camera and somberly promised parents of special-needs kids that they would "have a friend and advocate in the White House." This was about a half-hour before she raised her hands in triumph with McCain, a man who voted against increasing funding for special-needs education.
•Palin's charge that "government is too big" and that Obama "wants to grow it" was similarly preposterous. Not only did her party just preside over the largest government expansion since LBJ, but Palin herself has been a typical Bush-era Republican, borrowing and spending beyond her means. Her great legacy as mayor of Wasilla was the construction of a $14.7 million hockey arena in a city with an annual budget of $20 million; Palin OK'd a bond issue for the project before the land had been secured, leading to a protracted legal mess that ultimately forced taxpayers to pay more than six times the original market price for property the city ended up having to seize from a private citizen using eminent domain. Better yet, Palin ended up paying for the fucking thing with a 25 percent increase in the city sales tax. But in her speech, of course, Palin presented herself as the enemy of tax increases, righteously bemoaning that "taxes are too high," and Obama "wants to raise them."
•Then there's the God stuff: Palin belongs to a church whose pastor, Ed Kalnins, believes that all criticisms of George Bush "come from hell," and wondered aloud if people who voted for John Kerry could be saved. Kalnins, looming as the answer to Obama's Jeremiah Wright, claims that Alaska is going to be a "refuge state" for Christians in the last days, last days which he sometimes speaks of in the present tense. Palin herself has been captured on video mouthing the inevitable born-again idiocies, such as the idea that a recent oilpipeline deal was "God's will." She also described the Iraq War as a "task that is from God" and part of a heavenly "plan." She supports teaching creationism and "abstinence only" in public schools, opposes abortion even for victims of rape, denies the science behind global warming and attends a church that seeks to convert Jews and cure homosexuals.
•She's a puffed-up dimwit with primitive religious beliefs who had to be educated as to the fact that the Constitution did not exactly envision government executives firing librarians.
•The truly disgusting thing about Sarah Palin isn't that she's totally unqualified, or a religious zealot, or married to a secessionist, or unable to educate her own daughter about sex, or a fake conservative who raised taxes and horked up earmark millions every chance she got. No, the most disgusting thing about her is what she says about us: that you can ram us in the ass for eight solid years, and we'll not only thank you for your trouble, we'll sign you up for eight more years, if only you promise to stroke us in the right spot for a few hours around election time.
