Has anyone ever eaten here? If so, how gangsta is it? Denny's gangsta or TGI Friday's gangsta?

I see commercials for it on all of the Canadian hockey stations

I dont think it's a gangsta at all
Ive never been to a TGIF in my life though

sure you get homeless people hanging out in them but only in certain larger cities (you can tell by the black lights in the bathrooms so addicts cant find their injection vein)

mostly they are inhabited by every type of working class person in a hurry to pick up some food(soup, sandwiches, donuts, muffins) and coffee on their way to work.

lunch hours are busy too.

My favorite is getting a turkey sandwich put on a cheese croissant, their carrot muffins, and their honey cruellers (http://i.pbase.com/u25/dhnieman/large/40758249.FrenchCruellers.jpg), even though there are like 350 calories in just one :o

Last time I visited the boyfriend in Vancouver we went to Timmy Ho's at least 6 times in 3 days lolz. I dunno I'd say to a fellow american it's like a cleaner Dunkin' Donuts that sells more really good food (sandos, really great chili etc..) and better donuts and AMAZING coffee. omg those maple filled donuts make me weak in the knees.... and sour cream timbits omg

oh, and they are the go-to-joint when you make a gas stop on the highway during a road-trip. there is almost always a timmies at popular rest-stops.

tim hortons' sandwiches are decent, but i think their coffee is pretty bad. you're better off going to a second cup for a cup of joe.

These damn things seem to be all over the Detroit area and I've not stopped at one yet. Judging from the posts here, I really don't think I'll be going any time soon either. Doesn't sound like my kind of digs.

I am surprised to learn that they "real" food items though and not just muffins and shit. I thought it was primarily a coffee place - like Starbucks or something.

Thank you for the info.

From the commercials, I was wondering what it was like in comparison to something that I knew (ie. TGI Fridays, Denny's). Dunkin Dounuts clears it up...
