By BS2000 of course. I wanted it when it came out but had no way of getting it and over the years sort of forgot about it. I couldn't even find it to download last time I checked. Then I saw it used at an indie record store for $6. Weird how stuff like that happens.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that lyrically it's amazing. I understand it isn't hip-hop, but I'd take the lyrics on this album over doodoo rhymes any day. I almost can't believe it's Adrock, he usually comes up with the most ridiculous lines but he's mostly serious on this album and it worked out incredibly well.
So yeah, my point is I hope the new album has at least a song or two with socially conscious lyrics that aren't zingers directed at the establishment. Hello Nasty had some nice lyrics. TT5B though... some lines are funny, most of the songs are catchy, but none of the lyrics really impressed me or made me think.

It's fun here on the rollercoaster, I saved you a place. But when I tried to talk to you, a bird flew in my face...

Indeed...
I shouldn't just talk about lyrics though, I'd say SM is simply a better album than TT5B or TMU. I also love how Adam yells most of the lyrics. I always like when he does that live, but he doesn't seem to usually commit it to record.

I hope BS comes out with a new album in near future.
I'm with you on SM, I love it. I just wish "Side to Side" would have caught on as a wedding reception anthem or something.

I was quite surprised when I found out recently that a hardcore b-boy crew that that I'm familiar with (H20 crew from Newbridge, South Wales - where boxing champion Joe Calzaghe lives I think?) apparently like dancing to NY is Good from Simply Mortified.
Then a few weeks later I noticed that the oriental guys that busk by doing tricks with soccer balls in Trafalgar Square here in London were performing to the sound of NY is Good too!
I kind of thought about posting something about it at the time, as I always had the impression that BS200 was quite an underground thing - mainly familiar to Beastie Boy fans.

A new BS album would be perfect.

I remember when Simply Mortified came out, I bought it not having heard one track! It is awesome! It was a great filler while the Boys were on a " break"

Has anyone got BS 2000's first album?
I only heard one or two tracks from it, it's completely different to simply mortified. More sort of electronic-y.

THat one might be the pink version! I bought the original off the website when it came out and the vinyl is pink.
I like both albums but the first one is just like a sampler and drum machine on crack. Kinda like ad-rocks remixes, and I dont think there is any vocals either on the first one, except for samples.

I enjoy that first album - I pulled it out for a listen for the first time in ages the other night, due to this thread. I'm just pissed that my copy's a bootleg (I'm pretty certain) - I don't know how big chain-store retailers like HMV get away with selling that shit - the mainstream market's been awash with vinyl bootlegs of classic albums for ages now (here in the UK at least?).
Thanks mate(_spawn_die) - that track's wicked (y)

I bought the first album on black and pink vinyl (I also have a blue acetate bootleg CD with artwork), but I couldn't get into it. The only real try I gave the second album was the Buddy US 7", but I never even listened to it. I would be happy to trade any or all of them for Beastie records or CD's I don't have, Just PM.

The second BS2000 album is completely different from the first. You might want to check out a few clips on youtube.
And for anyone who is looking to get a copy of the first BS2000 - I just noticed a copy up on ebay now.
