there are prop 8 protests all over the country.

personally, I think it's kind of futile. I mean, there was a huge protest in chicago, but gay marriage isn't legal in illinois. why don't all those protesters put their efforts towards getting gay marriage legalized in illinois? wouldn't that combat prop 8 in a more powerful way? meh. people like to protest things I guess. I just don't think your average california gay hater is going to be like, "hmm, all those gays in chicago want marriage in my state, maybe I'll reconsider!"
