rush would probably be one of my top 5 favorite bands if it wasn't for his voice . A great group of musicians put together but I can only take so much of his voice.

The singers from the mars Volta and wolfmother get under my skin as well.

Robert from Led Zepplin sang in a false setto which was popular with bands in the 70s. Why wouldn't you copy one of the hottest bands out there? Only difference with most of the singers back then is that they weren't in a band that KICKED ASS.

RUSH RULES! \m/

yeah they might be better if it wasn't for geddy, but you gotta love the guy. it's hard to imagine them without him.

..and i think he speaks like a fairly normal person.

Spritzer on ice in New York city...Isn’t it a pity?..You never had anything to mix with that...

Did you buy the Deluxe edition of Wowee Zowee?...it's great...(y)

I dont like to sing by I admit I sang "The Trees" on Rock Band with a group of friends. I nailed that song like a hammer, axe and saw.

It's my favorite Pavement album. Some of the racks I could have done without (the "sordid" and "sentinel" tracks, that live version of "Box Elder") but on the whole, it was really great.

are you getting this? (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/145856-pavement-brighten-the-corners-reissue-info-unveiled) I can't wait to read the liner notes. Hopefully there will be some by Spiral this time.

I often wonder if Macho Man Randy Savage talks like that all the time...

Oh yeah,I snagged the "Slanted Enchanted: Deluxe Reduxe" when it came out as well as the "Crooked Rain,Crooked Rain" which I wasn't that big on...I was talking to Scott Kanberg when he was the curator at this past years "Sled Island" festival here,he said that he was wrapping up Preston School of Industry and working on a new band called (of course) "Spiral Stairs"...(y)...and of course we'll alway's have "Slow Century" over and over again...:D

I'm quite jealous. Spiral was my favorite member of pave, and i enjoy preston far more than Malkmus' solo stuff. Please tell me he was a friendly guy.

I loved the CRCR reissue, if only for all the unreleased stuff. I'm a big fan of pre-slanted and enchanted pavement, so stuff like JMC Retro and Bad Version Of War are some of my favorites.

And, according to Wikipedia, For Sale! The Preston School Of Industry (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ofAp0dK40) won't be on the Brighten The Corners reissue. I'm kind of really pissed about that.

Oh yeah,he was totally aproachable and now pretty much totally bald on top...which threw me...he has a thing for this city,he and S.M used to come here record shopping before Pavement formed and he recalled finding a stash of "Blue Oyster Cult" albums that he said that without that sound influence Pavement would have never happened......I guess they listened to them incessantly...and then he spoke about how they both held gigs in the hotel industry up in the mountains and other odd jobs they did while road tripping...anyway's he played 2 shows over the festival and they were great and he jammed with Wire which was fun...so yes genuinely a nice guy, past that smug smile he wears...

P.S: on a non-talent fan basis Nastanovich was my fave, the jester,so funny to watch the antics live...:D
