My wife daughter and I are heading to my in-laws for a mid afternoon dinner...they are sleeping over there and then I am going with a buddy to the Eagles v. Arizona game at the Linc.

Me and the work force are going to the Marriott for our annual dinner. It's a beautiful thing. 2 kinds of dressing. Kobe Steak. Alaskan Crablegs and Kobe Steak. I bring my DVDD just so I can sneak some of that Kobe Steak in the bag when I leave.

That gains frowns from everybody present but me. But, yet, I still get invited so either they're lonely or I really mix things up.

I think it's bullshit that Americans have Thanksgiving and then about three weeks later it's Christmas. No wonder every single American ever is so fat.

I went to Thanksgiving a few years ago at a friends friend's parents house in Poughkeepsie (not sure if that's the right spelling). Me and my friend got there at around 11am and basically were force fed and given alcohol non stop until about 11pm. We got the train back to grand central and both of us nearly puked due to overindulgence. Quite gross but at the time totally yum. My friend's father is from Indonesia so there was all the traditional american food but loads of asian stuff as well. It was fun.

I like having dinner parties, so I've started my own tradition of inviting those who don't often celebrate thanksgiving (us immigrants), and having a fun time. So this year, I've invited my asshole best friend and his mom to join my dad, my brother and I to our house for a non-traditional thanksgiving.

I might make a small turkey, but we will also have another sort of meat, like pork or a chicken, probably made with fruits. And I'm working on the menu right now. I think I'm making a tres leches for dessert, and a ton of veggies to accompany. Shoot, if you've got ideas, I'd love to hear them.

In the morning we have a neighborhood football game. It's my son, my brother-in-law, and me along with a bunch of people I grew up with from the neighborhood and their kids/families. It's always a good time and a great way to build up our appetites.
Then we all go to see our local HS football team play our rival Catholic HS in the Turkey Bowl.
Then I'm going to my sisters for dinner where we all get our wine-drunk on, I embaress my sister with "The Story" again, and we have all the kids get their Christmas lists ready. We'll finish the day up with watching the Eagles-Cardinals game on TV.

we have about 30 coming to my parent's house this time. it's gonna be great b/c my husband's parents are going to my parents, so we don't have to do 2 dinners this year.

i'm making a tofurkey for my country family to try. i gotta make it extra good so they don't make fun of me, which is inevitable.
