yep, the approval of my offer came over the phone a few hours earlier. it's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath single story place with a full finished basement/garage underneath.

i'm excited because with the seller assist, my offer was a solid 10k under the asking price.

i close on december 19th, but probably won't fully move in until after the new year.

here's a photo (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v251/jabumbo/738277_101_12.jpg) of the front that was from the realty site

usually people here can afford a house when they are already in their 40s or 50s

usually people here got too much self pride to sell their own bodies for a house

Congrats.

there's two bedrooms in the back next to each other. you can pick between them and then the other will become the "office".

can you afford the mortgage on your own, or do you need a roomie to afford the monthly bills?

can you afford the mortgage on your own, or do you need a roomie to afford the monthly bills?

my payment is going to be about 100 bucks a month less than what i was approved for. so after utilities and such, it might run a little tight at the moment, but i shouldn't have a problem. i may have a roommate eventually, but i'm only counting on that as bonus cash.

oh, and the garage is pretty large for my small car, so i'll have plenty of room for the fetish den....

I keep looking and looking but what is mostly holding me back from buying is my inability to give up my non-penny pinching lifestyle I can afford without a mortgage right now.

that and I abhore roommates so I dont want to buy a place that forces me into that situation.

PLUS as much as i hate being a tenent im not sure I'd rather be a landlord living on top either and potentially deal with shitty leasers.
harumph.

ALSO Ive seen some amazing places that with evening just a tiny bit more income I could afford, but they are off-limits with my going into this on a single income.

I wish someone would just marry me so I wouldnt have to deal with this shit all on my fucking own.

I am happy and proud of you jabumbo. good jorb eh.

Dude- You're 24 and taking the plunge. Good on you(y). I'm 36 and still saving but here I have to pay the full lot...Foreigners can't qualify for mortgages. Plus the economic crash is just now making it's way here so I'm hoping for some fire sales w/in the next year.

Did you get a Fire Sale? Not meaning to pry but if you did then all the better
