Paulson gives ANOTHER $800 BILLION

The Federal Reserve is to inject another $800bn (£526.8bn) into the US economy in a further effort to stabilise the financial system.

About $600bn will be used to buy up mortgage-backed securities while $200bn is being targeted at unfreezing the consumer credit market.

The central bank said it would lend up to $200bn to the holders of securities backed by various types of consumer loans, such as credit cards and student loans.

I was just beginning to wrap my brain around what $700 Billion Dollars looks like (http://www.npr.org/news/graphics/2008/sept/billion/700_06.html). I'm going to have to have a smoke break before I see what an additional $800 Billion Dollars looks like.

For those of you who haven't already done so - I seriously recommend that you get a copy of Naomi Klein's "Shock Doctrine".

This one book alone will give you an understanding of who, how, why etc.

Follow that up with Michael C Ruppert's "Crossing the Rubicon" ( I can provide this in pdf format for anyone that wants it - but I'd rather you buy it cause this guy's investigative skills are second to none )

I did read the shock doctrine... Naomi is on it, I'll check out "Crossing the Rubicon" upon your recommendation, if it's along the lines of Klein's read I may be in for a mind shift.

I felt stuffed just watching that!

And I have heard Stephanie Miller mention 'Shock Doctrine' on her morning radio show too had me thinking... I really should check out this book. Here's a secondary random recommendation?! (lb) Looks like I've got some readin' to do.
