I think we had a thread like this started already back in the day, but oh well.

This source therapie superactiv stuff (http://www.biotherm.ca/_en/_ca/facecare/index_prod.aspx?prdcode=113023&CatCode=AXE_FACE_CARE^F1_VIS_SKINPERFECT^F2_VIS_SK INPERFECT_Serum&) from biotherm is amazing. I got it as a gift last christmas and now Im addicted to it, which sucks because it's like 50 dollars a bottle.
fair enough it lasts about 6 months because you just need a tiny dollop of it, but goddamn it's amazing.
it's absolutely changed my skin texture, and just it's clarity in general.
first time something has delivered what it promises.

I normally just wear it at night (because I hate putting on the super greasy thick night creams and then feeling it rubbing off on my pillows etc) but they
make it with SPF now so I might try that shit out come summer.

I just bought these - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EMV4DA
for only 9.50!!!

I just got them in the mail and they are freaking awesome, the colors are crazy. And there's a ton, they are going to last me forever.

Also came with a free lip gloss and cover up. I love buying shit online.

I still swear by maybeline waterproof liquid eyeliner (http://www.buymebeauty.com/Images/maybelline/mb_ultra-liner_full.gif), I like it better than pencil because I prefer a more 'bold' line/look. It also never, ever runs. The tip is much like a small paintbrush too so it's easy for me to apply and do the cat-eye/retro shape I always do.

I also use some kind of face lotion with at least SPF 15 in it (I've done Oil of Olay usually, right now I am trying a Garnier's anti-wrinkle version which so far I like but it smells a tad funny so I will switch to something else once it's finished).

Speaking of Garnier, I like their Nutrisse hairdye products but only because I was trying to get back to my natural color (black) and it was really gentle on my hair.

There's also this REALLY good lip balm I use; soothes chapped lips perfectly and adds a cute shine but I forget the name of it and I don't have it with me today. I'll mention it later :P

I really want to find a good body lotion (that smells nice too!), body scrub/soap, and shampoo/conditioner (my hair dries out a lot and I get dandruff, ugh).

Ooh also, I bought this - http://www.almay.com/pg/main/catcoleyeslips.aspx?catid=32&catnm=Eyes&subid=7&subnm=Green&col1=224&col2=225
(the one on the left) to bring out the green in my eyes and it works really well. Plum eyeliner is the key. It's awesome, my eyes were always kind of hazel before but they really do look green with the right makeup.

I found this website when looking for the almay thing - http://makeup.lovetoknow.com/Main_Page
Seems pretty cool, I like reading tips because i have no idea what I'm doing. I can't do liquid liner because it always looks terrible.

Clinique. I don't like to look like i'm wearing makeup at all, so my day look is foundation, bronzer, under eye concealer and mascara. At night I'll put on some eyeliner and another coat of mascara, and some white shimmer in the corners of my eyes to open them up. Anyway, Clinique all the way.

Hair, I use Fructus shine shampoo/conditioner everyday, and every week I'll do a treatment with Kevin Murphy stuff, and stick a shine booster on afterwards. I use Kevin Murphy Anti.Gravity everyday to boost my stupid flat hair, and I really need to find a good hairspray.

Scrubs, I LOVE L'Oreal Exfotonic, it's cheaper than other coarse body scrubs and smells awesome fresh.

Lipgloss, I adore Stuf lipjelly and Lancome's JuicyTubes equally, they have different textures so they're even.

Natio's Pep-up body cleanser is awesome fresh too, love it. Oh and Missoni Aqua (blue) and DKNY Be Delicious are hot shit too.

Queen Helene! (http://www.queenhelene.com//skincaremaskscrub2.php)

her mint julep scrub (i use it on my face and body) is awesome, awesome! and pretty dang cheap too.

For fluff'n'puff hair in a good way, I like this blow-dry lotion (http://tigihaircare.us/tigi/bedhead/archive/2007/02/27/superstar.aspx)by bed-head

it smells nice and citrus-y as well.

that eyeshadow looks sweet dandy!
my friend got this 96 FUCKING COLOR (http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p51/eggeggbbq/2008%20eye%20shadow/p-md202-01.jpg)eyeshadow palette off e-bay and forgot it at my house the last couple weeks. Ive had a ball playing around with the colors. like a goddamn kid I tell yah.

Ive never heard of that L'oreal scrub before. maybe its because im stuck in Canada :(

this is my favorite moisturizer, it makes your face a teensy bit sparkly and lovely. it smells good and doesn't feel heavy:
http://well.ca/products/clean--clear-morning-glow_7585.html?well_id=799204070f37ce7a21e956efddb ef173

I sometimes use Origins Youthtopia Firming Eye Cream, but I only have a little sample guy and don't want to run out because a container of it is like 50 bucks. it really works well for me though, when I remember to use it a few days in a row, any hint of wrinkles disappear (but I don't really have many thanks to genetics and my ever-present sunglasses). (y)

I started using Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Claming Body Wash Daily Shower Oil (phew, that's a mouthful), and it rules. it's not bad for shaving legs and is really gentle.

My favorite favorite favorite body wash though is DermaNew Polishing Bodywash. it's got little bits of copper in it for exfoliation. it's really good for shaving, but it dulls out blades pretty quick on account of the copper. seriously, it makes your skin feel awesome. http://www.skinstore.com/p-4509-dermanew-polishing-body-wash.aspx?link=DermaNew&affiliatecode=Froogle&CAWELAID=147277170

I recently got some jojoba oil at trader joe's and have been using that instead of body lotion and it's working out super. however, it makes me kind of greasy. otherwise, I use cheap sauve lotion with vitamin E. it does the job.

I don't really wear much makeup, so I don't have any recommendations. I buy the cheapest stuff or use fancy estee lauder stuff my mom gives me.

oh ya, and Lumene face stuff is loverly. I like to think it works especially well on me because I'm half Finnish and it's from Finland.

i suck at being consistent with any beauty regime. the only thing i'm attached to is my mascara. my latest obsession is fiberwig. (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P174100&categoryId=S10510&shouldPaginate=true) Other than that... uhhh.. chapstick is good. I've been using a lot of rosebud salve (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P42204&categoryId=S10615&shouldPaginate=true). i put it on my lips then a little on my hands to keep them soft too. works :)

ummm... seriously... that's it. i can barely be bothered to put on deodorant every day, and i always buy different kinds.

i have stopped shampooing my hair everyday. that's a new thing, i forgot that one for a sec. it's too long and gets too dry if i wash it too much.

Ooo that mascara looks sweet.

I finally tried out fake eye-lashes this halloween and hated them.
I get better bigger than life results with my own eyelashes and a good coat of mascara.
worst 7 bucks Ive ever wasted in my life!

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioners...expensive but niiiccceee!
Also use No.7 Protect and Perfect Serum and P&P moisturiser with SPF15, again expensive but damn good.

Also have started using King of Shaves Azor razor instead of Gillette Fusion...shaves as good, lasts me 1/3 longer AND the blades are about a 1/3 cheaper for the 8 pack!

:D

drink more water
ha. he speaks the truth. drink water and moisturise. that's the bible i tend to stick to.

i don't like much about my appearance, but what i do like is my skin. this, i think, is probably down to the above, not wearing makeup more than twice a month, and johnson's 24 hour facial moisturiser (http://www.johnsonsbeauty.co.uk/#productPage.aspx?product=49). seriously. stuff that expensive crap. you know how a new moisturiser feels great after the first couple of days then slowly it goes to shit? not with this. i have used it every day, morning and night (they have a night one out now that seems to be the same but, er, purple and lavender-scented but hey, i'm a sucker) for the past seven years. if i have a shower in the morning and i do not have this moisturiser to put on i feel my skin SCREAMING for it, it's so much a part of my routine. exfoliate occasionally (again with johnson's) and moisturise daily.

i wear makeup very rarely. mostly because i am a fucking lazy piece of ass. when i do, i wear it sparingly.

fuck full on foundation. i feel like my skin is suffocating. tinted moisturiser is the way forward. i tried clinique back in the day, but shit made my skin BURN. BURRRN. i have sensitive skin but geez louise, this shit was bad. it also separated into this weird gel/oil gloop.. horrible. one of my friends is a dermatologist and she told me some science-y shit about how their tinted moisturiser does that but i forget it now. their mascaras are fab though. much props.

anyhiz, the only tinted moisturiser you will ever, ever need to buy in your entire life - trust me - is by laura mercier (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/flawless_face/products/tinted_moisturizer/tinted_moisturizer/). serious. no gimmicks. this is it. this combined with their foundation primer is this shit. bits of foundation sticking to the dry skin on your chin or around the edges of your nose? NO MORE! just stop looking. this is it.

for people who want more coverage the mineral powder (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/flawless_face/products/foundation/mineral_powder_spf_15/) is really fantastic. as i said i don't like traditional foundation because it makes me feel like i have 2 inches of cack on my face that i'm not used to but this is very light and doesn't stick to dry areas like normal powders or age you - good stuff.

okay, i promise i am not getting paid by laura mercier but you need their cake eye liner (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/colour/eyes/eye_liner/eye_liner/). use a flat eyeliner brush and apply to the tricky bit of the eye between your fecking eyeball and your eyelash line. i swear to god, once you master this, your lashes look fucking shit hot and your eyes just pop. it takes a while but you get there. pencil eyeliner is for pussies. it's fine on the top lid but if you do this - trust me, it looks gorgeous.

i love liquid eyeliner too so if you are feeling brave do the top of the lash line with this or go with crystal's advice, because girl always has excellent makeup : ) i have been using bobbi brown's gel eyeliner (http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT6086&PRODUCT_ID=PROD72791) atm though and it is very good - stays on until the morning after in most cases.

i don't like heavy lipsticks. i use laura mercier stickglosses (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/colour/lips/lip_colour/lip_colour_stickgloss/) which are part lip balm, part lip colour and part lip glace. the best colour is rosewater. true fact. their sheer colours are beautiful too - baby lips is great.

blusher i use extremely rarely but again it is a shade from one of LM's face books (which are great bargains btw). mascara i tend to interchange but right now i am using one from blinc - which has some sort of weird magic in it meaning it can only be removed with a combination of water AND rubbing. so if you go swimming it stays on. when you remove it though it's like little spider legs on your fingers because it just coats your lashes in a weird tube.. bizarre. good though.

hair-wise i used to use herbal essences. cheap but effective. but since i got my hair cut in vidal sassoon and got sucked in to buying their products once, i can honestly say it is worth it. when i have the money i use their precision clean shampoo and their halo hydrate condition mist. it is about £12 a bottle though so that is not very often. it lasts long though when you get it and is worth the investment. but i don't really give a crap about my hair.

all the philosophy stuff i have used in the shower has been great. gorgeous smelling and leaves your skin very soft.

er.. this is only long because i know what i like. it makes me feel old, actually, buying the same old shit. but hey. that's the way it goes. from the way i talk about the makeup you would think i wear it regularly but no. i've just tried a few and don't want to waste my money. I WOULD NOT LIE TO YOU, LADIES.

I tend to use lots of minerals for my hair and that being said I have less trouble than I use to with hair conditioner or chemical shampoo. Its also good for the skin.

I concur with the water drinking, that got to be number one for the skin. AS for skin moisturizer, i am still with my almond oil and recently i discover argan oil . This oil come from Morocco and it is use by the people for thousand of years for food and also for the benefit of the skin( lots of vitamin E). Also, Cod liver oil is especially good for the skin , it can stink a bit, hehehe, but it is full of vitamin A.

The best way to keep the skin healthy is natural produce, less ingredient in the cream, better it is. You don't want to put freaking chemical or other ingredient that you have no idea what they are on your skin, do you?

The top for the skin is just to use one ingredient, natural without any perfume and other shit. Also old grandma trick work magically. I did recently try this homemade scrub: honey, almond powder and little bit of lemon. You put that on your face while doing little gentle circle to scrub the face and get the impurities out. Then you let it dry and you clean it up with warm water. It is natural, cheap and work. Skin feel soft after that. There tone of others little recipes like that on the net.

Avocado oil is extremely good too. One has to find which natural oil work best for them; almond, argan, grape, wheat oil...

:)

See, the drinking water thing - that on its own is bullshit.

For the last few months I have struggled with my skin, and it has fuck all to do with how much water I drink of how frequently I wore makeup. Yes, drinking water and removing makeup helps but in all honesty, I was drinking a couple of litres a day and removing my makeup religiously when my skin was at its worst. I was eating well, had seen a nutritionist and dermatologist and a doctor about it...and the most likely cause of it all turns out to be my wisdom teeth, which caused the glands in my jaw and neck to swell.

Anyway. You can drink water all the time and look after your skin and shit still happens. It blows.

yeah, well, no-one's saying it is a foolproof magic cure for everything. if that was the case we'd all be hooked on to a water drip. like a hamster. shit, that would be interesting! er.. anyway. yeah. nothing works 100% of the time. but in the majority of cases people notice an improvement.

Russhie, maybe try to wear less makeup or none at all for that matter! This shit can be very bad for the skin. Skin need to breathe , so if you constantly put stuff on it and block the pores , well, that can be damageable. But bad skin can be a sign of a poor liver as this one clean the blood and all. So sometime problem with skin can underly organ deficient, especially liver. I think, not quite 100% sure.
