The Avalanches for the second time in a little while

have "putting the finishing touches on album 2" as their myspace status. And someone said it's quite hip-hop in spite of that whole world music thing they had people believe.

May I just say that since their first album came out it has been one of my favourites ever and I love to throw it on occasionally and really get back to enjoying something. In my opinion it's the best Australian album ever.

I doubt that a new one could do that. One time I saw Dexter play live and it was great. He'll be missed from the group. I had a point. Welcome to paradise.

could be interesting though man. i liked roll on by the living end, but i do love that first avalanches record. electricity was one of the coolest things i'd heard in a long time, and needless to mention frontier as a fairly untouched piece of brilliance.

i've been listening to "el producto" a lot lately... even though the rapping is kinda wacky and mostly doesn't rhyme... i still enjoy it
