Living on an airport is not so bad when the rest of the people are actually travelling and on the go. You can bum lots of food and stuff of them. I met a liberian guy in Shmeretyevo-Moscow who had lived in the transit zone for 3 years. I guess in Thailand, the situation is a bit more Astro Dome/refugee camp like. Nobody wants to get out cause they might miss the first flight out and more people come in all the time.

Well, he's a little better off than the rest of them because his wife is Thai and they are gonna stay up north with her family. He's not worried about it at all, he just has to take more leave than originally planned I guess... not sure how that works LOL. What I AM worried about is that I am planning a Thailand trip of my own around July with my buddy. Depending on how these shenanigans play out, I might not get to go.

dude ive seen that show "locked up abroad" on National geographic channel i believe. thats some funky shit hes in for. the best way for him to get out is probably a bribe. tell him to go up to the biggest dude in the prison and just go to town. he's probably another thailander so the biggest guy there is probably 5'7''. but than again he probably knows some martial arts, possibly muyi tai, so tell him to watch the knees.
