He's a fiend for this band. I wish they'd play north america already. Coachella would be nice.

Haha I didn't click the link either. I liked their last album but I'm afraid this is going to be some goatee metal bullshit.

Okay, so I'm watching the video. I think when they heard the Pendulum remix of Voodoo People they decided to do an entire album based off of that sound. Time will tell.

It's not too bad actually.

I hope Keith and Maxim actually feature on this album, it was weird not having them be involved in anything other than the live shows last time.

Lets hope they do another Jilted Generation (y)

not bad that - i can hear the pendulum thing though. i doubt i could handle an entire album that sounds like that.
liked the video as well

I've heard the album now. That track is very representative of the whole thing.

Boring as fuck?

I think it's an alright track. Definitely a lot stronger than their last album, which I wasn't a big fan of. This seems more of a return to their original sound - that I did like... although I will admit it has its own touch.

The jury is still out whether I will buy the album or not though. Maybe at least a couple 12" singles if they release any...

Some of my favorite Prodigy is off the Dirtchamber Sessions. I wish they'd do more mix n' match style.

I liked this track, but at the same time I kind of got this "weak old video game theme" sort of feel from the synth melody. Not to mention using that "invaders must die" is kind of "the system is down" - even if it did work for this song.

.

that was just liam howlett and his records though, fucking briliant but i dont count it as a prodigy record really.I dont think they're ever gonna get anywhere near the old stuff. I have never seen them live , i am not sure its worth it now, cos there'll be plenty of tunes i aint into.

I saw them live a few years ago at the M.E.N Arena. We all got talking about our fave tracks just before the show and no one really new mine (Break and Entry from The Jilted Generation) and I was trying to hum it to them with no avail...

...they only bloody opened with it!!!! It was LARGE!

They're playing mainly Jilted / new stuff on the current tour. Well worth seeing live still. They're even doing Everybody In The Place and Charley.

I downloaded a concert from them once and found it unlistenable. Maybe you had to be there, but Keith's shouting the lyrics was just a huge turn-off.

Moby is going back and making stuff that sounds like early 90's techno too, I wonder if that's what the zeitgeist is. Fine with me. (y)

Experience and Jilted can't really be matched can they?
Fat of the Land has a good first half, but since then anything they do sounds so dated and boring. I always thought Pendulum sounded like a bad impression of the Prodigy, but this track sounds like a bad impression of Pendulum. And is this really the video? Laziest promo video ever.

I'm seeing them friday mate. Do you know who's supporting? It seems a little secretive, although maybe my research is just poor.

I like the new tune, to be fair every album contains song which are different from the others. I don't think this fits in with the early stuff at all.

the last album was a mixed-bag, but still good, and again it's got it's own sound. They'll never top Jilted in my mind, but I've accepted that and just look forward to the new tunes.

That tune umm Back 2 Skool or whatever isn't going to change my live, but I love blasting it out nevertheless!

Having listened to the album a fair bit now, I'm reappraising my earlier verdict and now think that Invaders is actually the odd track out. The rest are far closer to the Jilted / Experience template than anything since. Warrior's Dance alone is worth the price of admission

I quite like it!(y)

Is that Mickey from Dr Who in the video?

People need to get over the whole Prodigy dissed the BBoys at Reading 98 thing, I'm sure too many fans cant get past that when thinking of the Prodigy!

I'm givin the new album a first listen at the moment. So far I'm floored! I expected uninspired never to reach smack my bitch up greatness... so i guess expectations were low but wow, cuts like 'Thunder', 'Take me to the Hospital' and 'Run with the Wolves' are going straight thru my skull in a good way, instantly upon 1st listen. (y) Gah, something about this music makes me wanna punch something... :o

Whoa Parkey interviewed The Prodigy?! Impressive.

Never got Prodigy. They always sounded like eurotrash to me.
