Physical therapy, Chiropractics, Kenitic Taping, Massage Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Acupuncture are all crocks of shit. All a way for providers to milk insurance companies out of billions in New York State alone.

It has been medically proven that in 95% of PT cases, that maintining daily activity and following a basic home exercise program are just as if not more effective than receiving treatment from a PT.

It is funny, under the NYS provisional No-Fault law (medical treatment payments from injury resulting from a car accident), it actually dictates exactly how much each modailty is to be paid. For example, Non-M.D. Physical Therapists are only to be paid $61.60 per day, no matter how many units of PT are rendered.

It is all bullshit.

hey! i'm a massage therapist and i've never ONCE charged someone's insurance.

the PT will get better, Praying Mantis. it hurts bad for awhile and then you realize it really is helping.

also, remember my headache yesterday? went to my chiropractor and with one crackitty ack, it went away.

Pretty much. But if you can make money off bull shit, why not. In NY, under the prevailing NYS PIP rates, you would be entitled to between 41.40 per day and 61.60 depending on the patients PT status.

It's not about knowing or even caring, it is a matter of being privy to the fraudlent activity that is rampid in the industry (not speaking about you personally). Personally, I don't want anyone with \out an M.D. touching me for health treatment unless they're a hooker.

IM in Philadelphia. I have a $25.00 co pay each time. They wanted me to go 3x a week. I only do it 2 and do the rest at home. This is what I get for tearing the meniscus in my knee.

Thats very physical therapy never sucks its a very good treatment i have personal experience of this therapy due to my back pain its a bit lengthy treatment but results are quite impressive..........
