We made these couple of years ago (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=74851&highlight=snowflake) as well...

I've been making these (http://snowflakes.barkleyus.com/viewflake.php?id=18588505) IRL every day these days cause I work at different pre-schools just about every day
and that's the easiest activity I can think of with limited supplies.

have you ever tried making the 3-D snowflakes?
we've been busting them out all morning at work here. so easy once you get going!

I was actually thinking of digging up the thread anyway...

Those 3D flakes look awesome!
Gotta check them properly.
My mum made something similar in the 60's (but not as complicated), but I never found out really how they were made.
They're still up in the tree every Christmas...
