Ours is tonight…I’m predicting karaoke, rhythmless middle age folks dancing and tears by nights end…have you had yours yet?...to drink or not drink that is the question upon me…I’m primarily going for prime rib,my bonus and swanky door prizes…please regale me with your company x-mas party mishaps and/or adventures…

Ours wasn't too shabby this year....It was at the El Dorado casino which for this shithole of a town isn't too shabby. The food was decent, no free booze which sucked, and I didn't win any sweet door prizes. On the plus side I rocked a sweater vest, my lady friend/date got to show off her new boobs, and my Commander got more drunk than me. Afterwards we went to a strip club to see a midget stripper which traumatized me and then to another regular club to booze. Overall not a bad night I suppose

we're going to the chamber of commerce party this year. free food, free booze (I think). it will probably be mediocre...but perhaps more fun than last year because we have some new employees who aren't sticks in the mud like the losers who quit/got fired since.

I'm looking forward to it, because I like free food.

min'es tonight too. we have nice wine and cheese followed bye a VERY nice meal. then we all just go home. i WISH karaoke was involved. maybe it'd give the whistling bishop something to do.

also got my christmas bonus today!

i waitered in college (the WORST waiter ever) and our favorite holiday passtime was watching fools at their company christmas parties. part of it was we hated our jobs, but the other part was how people trip the fuck out at them. at the beginning, people arrive with their best sunday suits on, chandeliers for jewelry, meticulously groomed hair, all stiff and cool. by the end of the night everyone looks like the kids at a family party by midnight, all sweaty, torn socks, disheveled and unbuttoned. good times(y)

*anty's up to the bar*

It seems that free booze is a thing of the past, cash bars rules the land...I don't know if it died because of economics or liability but I haven't seen an open bar in years...even weddings are starting to change...I remember back in the day you'd just tip the tender and he'd do you doubles on the sly all night long...

That's exactly why I'm considering sobriety this year...
