Incredible. England are destroying India. After batting to a respectable 316 all out they've got India on the ropes at 102-5.(y) There's still time for England to throw it away though.:o

Gareth

a few things that i have loved lately: south africa's massive run chase, matthew hayden's low scores and australia being unable to bowl south africa out cheaply yesterday

I was happy to see Australia lose the first test to pep the competition up.. but its getting serious now. Australia should pull its finger out its ass.

Brett Lee is off for 6 weeks cos of a fucked foot.... terrible

go seth efrickah!
i've decided i will only start supporting the australian cricket team once hayden and ponting are out of that team. they're a rotting stench of big-headed stubborn-ness. inject 2 young quality rookies to replace them ASAP.

Ponting's the only good batsman in the side right now, we can't lose him

Tzar
12-29-2008, 07:58 AM
ok he hit a good 100 but he is a complete wanker. MUST whinge about any negative aspect of the game. even when they win, there is something to whinge about. the cunt got shoved into the team when they were in their absolute prime so he had no problems commanding them. now they're loosing, he must point the finger at something else.

Something very strange is happening to WI vs England atm - England are:

38th over: England 111-0 (Strauss 59, Cook 48)

You see the zero after the score of three numbers?

29th over: England 113-3 (Cook 43 Pietersen 7)

Wonder why england didn't force the follow on? I think they are playing the hit and hope match atm.

I can only read live feeds - ooh, I should interweb-radio on.

Anyway, even though England CAN'T do anything but win this, I think they will draw it. (lb)

49th over: England 221-8 (Prior 15 Harmison 7)

Ha. At least its 'just' at 500 lead run total.

So WIndies for 600-9 in less than 100 over?

Maybe rain tomorrow

anyone like 20/20?
i like to think of myself as an anti-hit-n-giggle purist..but i've recently taken the time to watch a bit of 20/20 and i quite like it (but not as much as a epic 5 day test match with the result delicately poised going into the final session)
india are playing us soon in a 20/20 - might go watch.
wouldnt mind seeing tendulkar in person one last time

Adam
02-21-2009, 03:31 AM
I like 20/20 I think.

Its not cricket but its fun. Its like when you are kids and play cricket/soccer or whatever and every1 is a big hitter or a striker.

But I can see it getting boring quickly. It can't touch Test Cricket and hopefully the money won't all go 20/20 way with the many different interests there is now in cricket. Its like the new soccer.

Sri Lanka cricket team came under fire in pakistan. Think they said that 6 of the team was injured, 4 was shot but they was all ok. Some police died though :(

Man, its a shame when terrorism spills over into sport. I know terrorism is a shame anyway but its always been sport that has been the neutraliser. Even those that may support their cause start to lose faith.

Fuck me, what a game this is now.

As is usual England looked liked they'd thrown away all the wickets for tuppence yesterday (Strauss and Cook excluded), then this morning three wickets in the first three overs - I thought we were heading for a shit one.

But, as I type Australia are 148-6. Fucking take that. England's bowling attack is absolutely on fire. Flintoff chucked one down at 95mph. For a broken man, that's not shabby. Australia still need 78 to avoid the follow on with only four wickets in hand.

that catch he dropped today was a stinker. we didnt play much better today, to be honest we are just about shading it with a bit of luck, i dont think either side is playing well, it could be a very tight series with loads of mistakes.

its really exciting to watch , there were loads of great cricket bits today. there was a delivery that could have been lbw, a catch and a run out and nothing was given.

Collingwood's been our best player, i reckon, and i think siddle is the aussies best so far, maybe katich. i knew nothing about siddle before this series and he is gonna be one of those players people like to hate but he's a determined bugger.good cricketer. reminds me of lance kluesner a bit.

As an Aussie, there's not a lot I'm liking about the cricket at the moment. But are a few things I do like.

I love the commentary we're getting, because they spend long periods of time not talking. They still talk shit when they do talk, but then they shut up and that is good. The exception is Warnie, he talks so fricken much and its mostly shit.

Our bowlers are good, particularly Hilfenhaus and Hauritz, and Siddle is solid. I like Siddle, to be honest. Partly because we grew up in the same area, and he tries hard, takes wickets and he's honest. You're never left wondering with him. But Johnson has to fire, and is looking like coming good, too.

Our battings crap though. Only Katich and Clarke look likely to score big runs. Hussey needs to be dropped. He's failed too many times.

I haven't been watching it but been reading updates and from what I gather its turning into a bowling pitch. I think they'll be all out before 325 so it still means bowling well but conditions maybe in Englands favour.

Epic test cricket from Cape Town.

South Africa rack up a massive chase for England. England make a good start in reply then lose quick wickets. Collingwood and Bell digging in now. Last session of the test, about 25 overs remain. This is defensive cricket at its best. Partnership was at 75 from 255 balls a few overs ago. If England pull off the draw it will be a massive escape.

they did it with one wicket spare again, whilst the fighting and defensive qualities are there , i cant help thinking its only a matter of time before the luck rusn out, is it papering over the cracks a bit? hiding the faults of some of the batsmen and some of the wicket takers didplays?, i'm not sure, i mean a few years ago we would have lost both those games easy. i'm in two minds about it. i'm pleased but a bit pensive

Does anybody play? This is my second season of 4th/5th grade park cricket. Its a lot of fun and a great excuse to own some regal knitwear.

soooooooooooooo Twenty20 Eng vs. Aus

Looking forward to the game. Only been following it via live blogs so far but gonna try and find a stream for Sunday's final.

Australia odds on favourite to win at 4/7, england 11/8. As much as I want a england win I think it'll be Australia - they blew pak out of the water.
