question about internet dating and text messages

hi. I was wondering if it's cool to just not respond to men when they write me messages on the internet? even though I am clearly open to dating internet men so long as they are handsome and witty...but if they are not handsome and witty, I would like them to not talk to me. there's one guy who seems very nice, but not my cup of tea. should I write back to him and say "oh hi, sorry, I have AIDS"? or just ignore the message?


also, I am currently in the midst of a strange role playing sort of text messaging session with my on again off again on again crush, whom I've talked about before. yadda yadda. anyway, somehow he said something that reminded me of something a father would say to a daughter, so I said "dad?" and then he told me to take my clothes off. then I said something about the police and now we're talking about weapons. so, he likes me right? we're totally gonna make out, right? yeah, I just ignored the message from the internet dude. I started talking to this other kid, but I don't feel like it anymore.


as for my text messaging friend, I could seriously kill him. every time I think I'm making some progress, I just get knocked right back down. seriously, he is a turd. I keep getting vibes from him, and then nothing happens. he wrote me a text this morning asking if I made it home safe and sound (there was a snow storm). wtf? that is some "I like you" shit right there, is it not? I mean, maybe it's not.

so, tonight I went to see him dj for a bit with my friend, and we all sat and chatted behind the booth, then these two chicks come up and he makes room for them and so they sit with him and we get pushed into a corner all separated from the group. one girl was all over him and she and her friend were all cackly and chatting amongst themselves and dude was all quiet and looking at his phone, talking a little bit here and there, but not really engaged (when he was sitting next to us, we were all have a conversation).

anyway, I kinda got pissed off, didn't show it really, just acted normal and talked with my friend. then he and the two girls get up and he goes to me, "hey, I'll be back, I'm just going to look at that girl's bike". and I was like, "uh, cool". my friend and I got another drink so as not to appear reactionary. ha. so much thinking and planning. so silly. anyhow, we finished up and put our coats on and he was all, putting his palms up and pulling a questioning face and stood up and said, "you're leaving already?" and I said, "yeah, I have to work in the morning". and we said our holiday greetings and hugged goodbye. it was weird.


ugh. I honestly think the kid likes me, but I have no idea what to do about it. just say something I guess. but I don't wanna. bleh. at least that girl who was hanging on him was ugly, I thought she was a boy at first, no joke. she was all lanky and flirty though, so they'll probably do it. in the butt. if he likes annoying ugly girls who talk about boring things, then I guess that's his business.
