snow sucks in cities where people aren't used to it because no one has winter tires or even all seasons.
people should have the sense to stay off the roads if they are ill-equipped for such situations.

does anybody out there even own a shovel?
i think my current location is supposed to get 3-4 inches of snow over the night. but thats nothing around here, that shit is laughable

It snowed 3-4 inches here today and I worked from home. File me under one of those places where people aren't used to it because no one has winter tires or even all seasons.

Do people really change their tires for winter anymore?
I remember my Grandpop used to do that shit. I think he had chains he used to put on them too.
Haven't seen anyone do anything like that in ages.
I mean I see people driving around here with low profiles without a problem.

Yeah, people still change their tires for winter. That might be a reason why manufacturers still make "winter tires." Just a guess. I know quite a few people who change their tires for the winter season. I just roll with my all seasons.
As for the chains thing grandpa used to do... I think most states have outlawed that because it tears the roads up to shit. But, on the other hand, I know some states actually require chains when conditions reach a certain level. I think California is one of those states when shit gets really bad up in the mountains.

i think only emergency vehicles sport chains anymore. and even then, its only a couple wheels for the whole vehicle...
probably a smart thing to do if you live in a place that gets a lot of snow and ice though...

It's snowing in Vegas!
That's a change. Oh, so that's not just cocaine lying around on the ground like usual.
I was thinking about getting snow tires today but don't want to deal with all the noise so i'm probably just going with all seasons. And its pretty common to change tires for the snow season.
And chains are required on all commercial vehicles around here during mild to heavy snow in the mountains. I think if you don't have a 4wd or AWD vehicle you need to put chains on your car on certain roads too. I think.
I've seen more snow in Colorado in 3 months than I have in Virginia for 3 years. It gives me a boner.

Snowing again this morning. Seriously, this is bordering on absurd. Over a foot of snow in Seattle?

I'm watching that fool Rich Marriott on KONG this morning and he's talking about how it's mostly rain... funny thing is this rain is white (http://media.komonews.com/images/081224_Seattle_snowman.jpg) and has defied all logic and accumulated 4" on my car in 3 hours. This is crazy, my mom lives on the counterbalance and the big family Christmas is canceled. Thats cool, out here in unincorporated Everett we have a solid foot and more just dumping on us by the minute, my RAV4 is a champ, drove all over the town last night til 3:00 AM. If I wasn't such a ALKY I'd eat some shrooms, snow is awesome on the shrooms.
