My lady friend and I do a lot of driving fairly far distances on the highway, well when we went to New Orleans she got a pretty expensive speeding ticket. Long story short she hasn't stopped talking about getting a radar detector since. The problem is I know nothing about them. How much should I be expecting to spend, what's a good one etc...as always your input is appreciated.

state troopers are the only ones allowed to use radar guns, so you can still get nabbed by locals and county boys

Ya I fink theys illegal. But If theys on your tail youd know it then but they have radar detector detectors now a days so you gonna have to get a radar detector detector detector.

In 1980 I was told they were illegal in Virginia.

Jammer that's what you're looking for. That and a CB. Dog will Hunt. Travel in packs but always lead them and find the next one. Speed limit here in the greatest country is up to you. If you're pulled over then it's a $30USD fine at most...And you pay the cop...on the spot so you don't have to lick any stamps or trouble yourself with this that or the other

Here's one for you. I know this cheap bastard. and he was pulled over and the cop told him that he was going to have to go to the station. He said "No, I don't feel like going to the station. That's completely out of the way- I mean look at this traffic." The cop took his $ and that was that.
