Couple months back I saw them on the "Metal Masters Tour" with Testament (sucked) Motorhead and Judas Priest. Honestly didn't even know who "Heaven and Hell" was, until I got there and I was like OHHHH Shat it's Sabbath with Dio, this is gonna' be good!!! Dio is a great front man, at only 3 feet tall he is a GIANT on stage, and Iommi is a badass!

I went to see Motorhead, but had a blast with all acts but Testament, they just weren't for me.

This is the show I saw.

Sorry you didn't dig Testament. I've been into them since they 1st dropped The Legacy up to Practice what You Preach. Hit and Miss from there. I'm glad that Chuck Billy is back in the game and beat cancer also that Alex Skolnick is back on the team. He played jazz during his thrash sabbatical- Which means he owns. They put out the best thrash LP this year. Metallica don't deserve to smack the dust off their boots.

Heaven and Hell Rock they have a DVD you'd probably be interested in called Radio City Live. And NO: Heaven and Hell is not solely Tony Iommi. In fact, saying that breaches new grounds of idiocy. I personally believe that Geezer Butler packed the foundation that left the needed Blues imprint that made Black Sabbath who they were and are. Bill Ward left Sabbath after recording Heaven and Hell because the bottle got the best of him. Vinnie Appice filled the void and they collectively made the monster LP The Mob Rules. They did one other LP Dehumanizer...I can't find that one but it was years after The Mob Rules-After various line up changes. As to why they had to tour as H&H I believe the story goes that Sharon Osbourne owns Black Sabbaths name so Geezer, Tony, Dio, and Vinnie were forced to tour as another name so they chose the 1st LP they put out after booting Ozzy. They also collectively played on the LIVE EVIL LP- Which if you can find a DVD of that then your in the $. I've looked for it on various boards for years to no avail. Great LP. As is Heaven&Hell- But they went the extra mile and played 2 NEW songs on that DVD.

Good Find Chewe. I didn't really know that you were into that type of music. Personally I prefer H&H as to LE bc I don't like Dio covering Ozzy era songs but maybe that's just me. At any rate Live Evil is definitely worth a listen. And the DVD Heaven & Hell is a Treasure well worth whatever you pay for it.
