I have approximately 30 various boomerangs in my collection and have been making boomerangs for 10 years now. It is my third vise to fishing and smoking.
Anyway, I made boomerangs as gifts this year and gave them to my brother-in-laws and business partners. My newest design was made to be the easiest to throw and fuck it works like a charm.
As a kid, I had the pleasure to have the Boomerang Man in Louisiana give me personal instructions and I have loved them since. I remember watching the Boomerang Man throw a boomerang around the Washington Monument on TV and I had to track him down. I showed up and knocked on his door and he took me down to the park and showed me his tricks. FYI, I lived in a different state.
So, my cost on each boomerang thia year was about $2. Made out of Birch and finished by my 5 year old’s custom paint job. I have had calls from several of the recipients and their family freaking out that it actually works and it is like I gave them a pot of gold. It is so satisfying to give a cheap gift that people act like they love. I am going to make another production run of this design and would love to share, let me know if you’re interested in receiving a late holiday gift. I won’t have them completed until mid January and should have 5 or so to give it.
Be advised, they are not a toy and you can hurt people, break things etc .. can’t go throwing these things in Manhatten.
Happy Holidays
