Well I told my dad first. That was the hardest so thought itd be best to get it out of the way. I was really nervous and while he was eating cereal I just blurted out "hey dad I'm gay." He said "what??" And I said "yep, Im gay so I thought Id share that with you." He thought I was kidding, kept saying he would of never guessed. And then we had about a half hour conversation and I just drained my mind of everything thats been building up over my life.
How I felt like I had to act a role, how hard school was for me. Overall I was very happy how he took it. I was suprised that he apparently had "NO IDEA"
guess im just paranoid. I do seem pretty manly, I talk with bass, But I guess my act was better than I thought lol.
It ended with him giving me a hug saying he loved me and I said i love you back. It was a huge release for me.
Wish I could say the conversation I had with my mom went as good. Me and her dont really get along anyway though. Shes a major in the army, and basically a badass. I called her and said "Mom I wanted to talk to you.."
"ok" (she was at work) And I just said it. She was like "OK.. did you think I'd care?" and she was real defensive. I.. it seems like she always makes things about herself.. And Ijust kept hitting a wall when trying to get through to her.
She said shit like "Are you trying to blame me for this!?" And I said mom this is about me I want to start my fucking like and all I want is to forget the past and be accepted" and stuff like that.
I told her how I remember when I was a kid and she calling me faggot, and how much that hurt. And she got real defensive and nasty. And thats how it went. It went no where and it was apparent she wanted nothing to do with me. It ended with me crying and saying "God damnit I fucking hate you!!"
so.. I dont know. I may never have a relationship with her, but I understand not wanting a gay son..
