despite having success in NZ trawling garage sales, etc for record players I can't really be bothered doing it again here in Germania and my ebay snipes on 1210s are very rarely enough to secure them anywhere near what I'd pay for.

any audiophiles here got ideas/recommendations? I just want a good table to play Black Sabbath records on.

Honestly I wouldn't know which would be the best considering I've only owned 1200s but I'm sure Stanton (http://www.123dj.com/turntable/stanton/t62.html), Numark (http://www.123dj.com/turntable/numark/tt1650.html), or Audio Technica (http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT-PL120-Professional-Direct-Drive-Turntable/dp/B00012EYNG/) would be good choices for the price.
