It doesn't sound like that Strawberry something one they put out last, does it?

I didn't get that. (n)

Different from Strawberry Jam in that it doesn't sound so much like Panda Bear's work, which I like. #1 is such a crazy song. It sounds like outer space.

Anyway, good album all around. My Girls and Daily Routine are standing out right now.

i've only heard a few tracks from the strawberry jam album, and its hard to really make up an opinion for me. i mean, i don't dislike the tracks, but i have to be in the right mood for them.

I tried to like this band and I just can't do it. Too noisy, the songs seem to go nowhere and lack depth and power

I like one song from them - Leaf House because it's a fun driving song

I'm curious why people like them so much?

I think "My Girls" has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a minute.

I decided that I don't like this album as much as Feels.

I think the problem is I love the first song more than any other song on the record. so the rest is kinda flat. "My Girls" is fun to dance to though.

I first indirectly heard of Animal Collective last year when a local college station - Houston's own Rice University (http://www.ktru.org/) - played a track that sounded a lot like the Beach Boys, particularly the vocals (fyi I like music where the vocals are a significant part of the music). It went on and on and I mean that in a good way and was really getting into it. But I had to leave, so before doing that I ran over to my internet machine :) and pulled up their playlist.

Turned out the track was called "Bros" by a guy named Panda Bear. Found it on Youtube and it immediately went into my channel's favorites list.

Then after some digging around found he was part of AC and stumbled onto "My Girls". Wow awesome, what a cool track: happy expansive music with somber but touching lyrics (http://animalcollective.org/lyrics/song/my-girls). The video is excellent too, a live action + CGI affair (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zol2MJf6XNE) which looks even more stunning in hi-def form (if your video card and monitor can display the 720P format).

I don't own MPP yet (financial difficulties :() but did manage to grab their new-ish EP called Fall Be kind. Good-to-great stuff, totally worth the eight clams I paid for it. FYI: this mini-album includes some incredibly low and powerful bass no $30 computer speakers or iPod dock I know of can possibly reproduce, so I highly recommend either a pair of good 'phones or a true audio home system to hear what AC wanted us to hear.
