I'm not sure but that is savage. Apparently, after just one hit, you may never recover from it.

its just way too far fucked up to even understand how someone would want to take that stuff.

once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

dont get me wrong - i have done my share of drugs but it just doesnt seem like there is any benefit at all from doing this one - it could be curtains after 2 minutes and i dont think thats worth doing. Still, mr thompson did a lot more shit than most but i thought the point was to get some sort of buzz/high. that seems like to much of a shock to the system.

As much as I admire his work, Thompson was such a great role model, wasn't he?!
All the drugs he rinsed fucked up his mental state, eventually leading to his suicide.
I ain't justifying HST in anyway, just might explain why people push themselves that far to do something stupid.
HST was an ass. Good writer tho for the mood he catches and his books can put you there. But I think he is responsible for a lot of junkies taking things too far because they feel they could write gonzo if they took something extra
Anyway, its pretty much a thinning of the heard when some1 goes that far - especially when they go that far more than once - except, sadly, some don't get a 2nd chance

I enjoy listening to their version of "Easy" when driving home after a night of merryment. Fine, I sing along.

yeah - i like it, i was just trying to say that its a good album without it

thompson took his own life because he was experiencing a lot of physical pain and the effects of operations; he could no longer lead an active life of an outdoorsman or gamesman who liked to ride motorbikes, hike, blast off rounds etc; he also grew more and more despondent and depressed about bush/cheney, their reelection, and the shredding of the constitution and civil liberties.

Oh I see, sorry I forgot you were there at the time.
This past February, with his health failing, Hunter was even more glum than usual. "This child's getting old," he muttered with stark regularity, an old-timey refrain that mountainmen used to utter when their trailblazing days were over. Depressed and in physical pain from hip-replacement surgery, he started talking openly about suicide, polishing his .45-caliber pistol, his weapon of choice. He was trying to muster the courage to end it all.
Then, on February 16th, Hunter decided to leave a goodbye note. Scrawled in black marker, it was appropriately titled "Football Season Is Over." Although he left the grim missive for Anita, his young wife, Hunter was really talking to himself. Here, published for the first time, are perhaps his final written words:
No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun -- for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax -- This won't hurt.

Never seen anyone act like that after getting wet.
Typical Over-dramatization to scare the kiddies.

Because he shot himself when he was old? Sanest thing I'd heard in a while.

The first four posts sound like an anti drug commercial filmed at school. No hate, it just does.

i am not anti drugs - i am anti-taking something that means you get strapped to a stretcher in a hospital that could damage you for life.

Seriously, No.
Not even close to as bad as that guy in the video.
MTV was clearly going for shock value.
To tell you the truth I'm more afraid of cigarettes than Dust, but that's just me. PCP is like 4 molecules different than your garden variety LSD.

Look flower, i get that was an extreme case and that i had no idea how much the guy took or his history but the fact of the matter is that i dont get how experiencing even a 100th of what that guy was going thru could be enjoyable in any way. Suerly one of the reasons to do drugs is to get a buzz, enjoy yourself.I've done plenty of class a's and there are always pros and cons but there are things that can be done to ensure a smooth ride so to speak but i dont know how you would guard against something like that happening or preventing permanent damage.
Maybe the dust you get is shit.
Wish i had an acid garden.

So let's review.
1. You're an advocate of LSD, but scared to death of PCP.
2. You watch MTV videos on subjects and take it as legitimate education.
You sound like a tool.

First of all, anyone who replies to a post like they are doing a "jerry springer final thought" is all kinds of wrong.
I have done LSD in the past and made sure i did it in certain surroundings with certain people. I am a careful drug user, well as careful as you can be i suppose. I have golden rules:
Cocaine : never pay for it
Weed - Only green, never resin
Acid - only take with a few close friends, prefarably indoors.
Smack - Never.
Ectasy - Never do it two nights on the bounce.
Maybe i was a bit taken aback at that video - i will admit that, i was just trying to say that i didnt see the benefit of taking that as opposed to some other drugs and was hoping that someone might reply with a positive angle and a bit more info.
I'd love to join Rob$ on his cigarette break...
