When I'm standing post next to the doors at work there's this guy who works in the offices that does some kind of strange thing when he walks out the door everytime.

He looks at the ground, extends his finger and starts pointing, like he's punching numbers into a machine and he talks under his breath while doing so and it's not understandable.

Lately, he's been doing it more than once when he leaves. He'll walk out, do it, walk and turn around and do it again. He's also been doing it when he walks inside.

He seems very intelligent and high brow (banker). I don't know if it's a disorder so I refrain from asking. It's interesting, none the least and all my coworkers are curious too..

I could lose my job over it though. He could be sensitive about it and that's all it takes is for him to bring it to my supervisor.

My coworker was standing post one day and the guy started doing that and my coworker told him hi, the guy stopped, looked around as if no one was there and started over.

I'll eventually get around to it. Perhaps ask his friends because some times he'll walk out with a group of his buddies and in mid conversation, he'll stop and do it. They just let him be but when he's done they'll continue the conversation.

Even a few times though when he's walked out with different people, he'll do it and they'd all be WTF.
