Gonna get my BBQ on, have some beers and listen to the Hottest 100. Fuck patriotism, though. I'm glad all these knobs are driving round with flags on their cars, I forgot where I was living for a second
what the hell are you talking about?

Fair dinkum mate. Fukin Straya day.
I worked, but it was good because I made a shitload. Actually had a good day since everyone was nice. There was a shind dig on at the beach but it is over now and I wish I could have at least seen the boats.
I saw some kid wrapped in a flag riding a bike and I think he may have gotten it caught in the spokes.

Patriotism. What patriotism. A flurry of made in China Australian flags, well u know the British-Australian flag symbolic of the 19th century colonialism [imperialism] of yesteryear. I mean yesterday.
What are we celebrating again?

i got a message from cherry ripe on facebook reminding me that australia day aint australia day without at least TWO cherry ripes. thanks for rubbing it in that i can't purchase cherry ripe in the uk  assholes. well, actually i can.. they sell them in harvey nicks for a whopping £2.50 each - that's more than five dollars a pop. you read that right!
last australia day i was with a real life australian in a horrible, horrible australian themed pub (for all of one pint) where in exchange for my money for a shitey beer that no-one even drinks in australia (fosters) you got a fosters hat and the company of some really, really drunk expatriots! WAH HEEEEY!

It's hot so I slept in, went for a run, then sorta just lazed about the house listening to the Hottest 100.
I never noticed the knobs with flags in years past, but they were certainly out and about today - on my run I saw several young men in 'Australia' singlets, sporting green and gold bandannas and such. I was unpatriotic and wore a teeshirt with a hamburger on it that says 'True Love' underneath.

I worked for 12 hours in stinking hot weather then during my break watched Australia lose to South Africa in the one dayer.
Worst Australia Day ever
