yup 4 episodes, Robert Llewlyn confirmed it on Twitter.
Although i've heard only 2 of those episodes are "new" others are making ofs and retrospectives.
I was a huuuuge RD fan back in the day, but the last 2 series were weak. The last one was complete balls.
I loved Red Dwarf. As well as being hilarious there is something poignant about the whole lost in space thing. I remember I first saw it when I was about 6 or 7 and my cousin got some videos for Christmas. Not sure I got all the jokes back then but it stuck with me.

yup yup and yup (y)

The last series doesnt even count as red dwarf in my eyes, its was a very silly idea. they'll never beat the stuff where they did "better than life" game or that monster that preyed on their fears. Class
I've loved Red Dwarf for 20+ years. I remember seeing the first series when I was very young.
The male Holly is my favourite char. As I think every1s.
Rimmer world was one of my favourite episodes
Its the only series I've bought on DVD fully.
Gotta agree about the last couple of episodes tho. Still hasn't put me off watching the last lot

im sure it'll be on the internet soon enough.
i had to bribe my oul fella to watch his sky digital tonight for half an hour during the golf to see this.
owe him some web design work now for it...
Yeah, plan B is to get a torrent of it - I'm sure it'll be up after 30 minutes of ending. I could always watch it tomorrow morning as well.
I liked enough. I wish they hadn't aged - I know that is unpossible but Holograms don't age.
Obviously setting up the set to be on earth rather than on red dwarf. I missed the first couple of minutes though, from when I saw it it looked like they didn't carry on from the end of the last series...

it was pretty good.
it was very funny, but the storyline wasn't great. which is perversely the opposite of what i expected.
i hope the new hologram turns out to be a baddy, cuz otherwise her appearance is dumb.
The second episode was ridiculously bad.

The second episode was ridiculously bad.
i dont think so.
at first, when you saw the tv shop, and you could see "red dwarf- its back!" stuff on tellys, i thought, what the fuck this is ridiculous....but then when they explained what was going on (and after i got over the fact it was a league of gentlemen movie rip-off) it was grand.
the bit i had a real problem with was the scene on the bus with the kids...that was ridiculous.
the rest of the episode was grand.

Well, Back to Earth was basically a drawn-out Blade Runner homage with knowing references to old episodes...
...and I couldn't be happier. :D
My expectations was high enough and met considering I love the show but aware the last two series make me weep
I'd love a proper series of it yet its highly unlikely since the set no longer exists and they'd either have to rebuild or CGI it all.
Anyway; Back To Earth 7.5/10
