Looks like we ain't gonna git no DTV

Actually we tried the whole convertor box/amplified antennae and it sucked ass

I like t.v. but feel the prices that are charged are bullshit for the amount of channels I am interested in. We just may not bother.

I wonder what 1,000s of elderly people thought when they saw that. I hope they know what is coming

I wonder what are the rules with the Emergency Broadcast System?

DTV is bullshit. I fucking hate it. I don't even have it yet, but cort does and it sucks, it's always fading out and shit gets all pixelated when the signal is weak.

I wouldn't panic though, some stations are messing up and people are getting the message that signal isn't working when it is. I guess we'll all find out when it really goes down. total bullshit though.

I do wonder if there's gonna be a possibility of pirate television on the old waves? that would be kinda neat.

That's exactly what we got, pixelly crap, less channels than now. We returned the crap we thought would make it better. Guess we'll go back to the stone ages or our dvd collection is going to grow 10 fold

Is this the transfer to digital television?

Apparently in the UK it is happening next year (I think) and because most people already have it there is £millions in the budget left over which two UK channels are trying to get their hands on as a 'bail out'.

Surprised the US are doing it so soon when it is so big and with so many remote places (unlike the UK), you'd of thought they'd of been much better prepared for it.

If its not the transfer to digital TV then I've guessed wrong what this thread is about and apologies for polluting it.

I can't imagine anyone under the age of 90 not having cable or satellite TV at this point.
