I accepted an "awesome job". One that would give that extra monetary boost needed in adjusting to the new financial demands when moving to the NY area. One you could dress your own style without too much hindrance. It seemed a great position for a manufacturer in the U.S. "Made in America by Americans" the warranty stated.
Some months into the position during a weekly meeting it's said "We're in the process of opening another factory in China." My gut sank and it took me a few moments to muster up the question: "You mentioned another factory- How many factories in China do we currently have in operation?" [Being as that info is confidential I will not disclose the number but, you can deduce it is at least one too many for taste.] I had to quit.

I just turned 30 and I've been actively learning about Tibetan Buddhism for 11 years and practicing as a lay Buddhist for 8 years. Browsed the t-shirts but got the tattoos. I've come to discover that it may be more difficult to avoid jobs that don't defunk the Gelugpa lifestyle chosen so, I'm just going to aim directly for those organizations that benefit the preservation of cultures of Tibetan people in some way shape or form.

I promise not to get involved in anything too messy though- I'm not after a political crusade, just a job in the field.

Before I moved, I worked as a church housekeeper for 3 years as a substitute for a Buddhist facility alongside the martial arts training and a part time position with them as a receptionist. I even took a part time job in a Chinese restaurant because I figured if I ever went to Tibet I'd better know how to get through all the red tape.

Right now, I have a possibility of writing an article on the subject of Buddhism which begs the question "what the hell do I know?" but that is another matter entirely.

So, if some bird whispers in your ear of something be sure to send it my way- The worst that could happen is nothing.
