I mean for a contest thing I entered (see polyvore thread in sure shots), the town just makes sense...graphically speaking. I'm not going to say it. I think I only even heard it from hot fuzz anyway.

I've heard it used. Sometimes it's said a bit ironically - for example, I might say to mr.p "So, what what shall we get up to in old-ee London town today" as a way of saying 'so what do you want to do this afternoon'.
