(yawn) It was like for 12 year olds when it came out like 10 years ago.

Which is pretty much the age I was when they came out. I guess we thought they were cool then because they had the odd pair or breasts and lots of sex jokes in, and is kind of how we imagined life was going to be for us in a few years to come. But it wasn't! I guess I am bitter.
I suppose I would too If I watched them again. Been a long while.

First and second one have their moments. Or had. I haven't seen them in a while either and have no desire to watch them again.

I think I may have the first one on DVD. As for the others... eh, I'll take a pass. It's good for poppin' in and watching every once in a while though.

I bought Band Camp a while ago. Thought I couldn't go wrong for only 5 bucks. I thought wrong.

good cause anyone who likes those movies lands straight onto my ignore list
One of the faux lesbians in the second film has a seriously amazing arse.
Thats my two cents.
I didn't even know there was a number 2.
I think I was a little too old for American Pie when it originally came out, I didn't quite get it even though every1 said it was my sort of film.
I think there's about 5 of them now. Straight to DVD shit.
I tend to avoid films where teenagers are the main chars. Unless they are getting brutally murdered by a 4 year old - I'm not interested.
But you said you liked Superbad?
Add Role Models to the list. That film was pretty funny too.
Well yeah. Ok. Some teen comedies are ok. Ain't American Pie, more a teen drama?
Erm, I dunno. There are a few exceptions (that prove the rule)*
*never understood that saying

amen to that typecasting. he is starting to abuse his 15 minutes of stifler fame
i saw part of one of those straight to dvd ones on tv, and he was the only original cast member that was either in the movie or played by the same person at least.

The only good thing to come out of the American Pie Franchise was Shannon Elizabeth sharing her assets to the cinema world.
AP2 was laughable only in how awful it was. it was a desperate attempt to cash in on the popularity of the first one.
But you can only ride Tara Reid, Eugene Levy, Chris Klein, and other D-Listers so far.
The plotline- sharing a summer beach house? dudes vowing to stick together- half the cast literally phones it in- so and so is in Europe with all the scenes over the phone...
The kid who plays Kevin is just terrible...
"Guys, this is gonna be the best summer of our LIVES"
Eddie Kaye Thomas is cool so he gets a free pass.
Jennifer Coolidge gets uglier as the Franchise moves on.
Terrible American Moviemaking at its finest and the audiences eat it up.

I also hate it when you eat a pizza and you take a bite and half the cheese topping gets dragged off. Then you are left with bread and tomato remnants. That's nothing to do with these films but it saved me making a new thread.

Naw -- "film" is a decent enough word in the right context. This just struck me as funny.
The brothers aren't Kevin Smith, by any means, though. There's actually some talent going on.
