They have the layaway (yay!)
Very civilized - like
intermissions at the movies
courteous driving
obsolesence of planned obsolesence
courting
electric cars
and vacant lots.

Any reccomends of what else to see?

i bought my ticket on friday, and i am pumped about this lineup.

its funny because nobody i am going with as of now is into phish at all (i'm not big into them, but i don't hate on em). and of the 5 people, only 1 will probably sit out one of their sets with me.

i'll probably end up on my own agenda for a lot of these shows though, since i'm not sure how the group feels on my style.

Hey, J =
the ones in red are the ones I'm seeing. going in a carpool with a bunch of jamband head strangers. Have you any interest in the acts I've picked (Al green, Snoop, et al)?

REALLY want to go this year (never been) but I don't know if I can afford to take a WEEK off from stupid work (would have to be unpaid mostly) since I will want to take a BUNCH of days off this summer for Beastie Shows. Dilemma!
Also none of my friends can go this year but thats not so huge for me- I like lone wolfing it a festival.
So hard to pass this up. Damn.

You know, M - I definitely hear you about the taking time off work thing. My story will be like that and all I can say is that don't people regret the things they don't do? The lineup is the best I've seen maybe ever.

For that matter, I'm going it alone too. Never have loned it at a festival, and frankly, am a little leery. Any tips, Mr wolf?

Sorry I'm that douche who forgets to check other threads they post in outside of bgeneral & bfree. I suck.
:o
Now that were done with that...
Hard to know what to say b/c I don't know your style (like to party it up/ strictly for the music vibe. I've been both in my time but am much more in the later camp these days).
I guess I'd say be friendly- there's always nice people to meet and chill with. But mostly- just enjoy yourself and remember why your going- to enjoy truly epic sets by a mind-numbing amount of great artists. Don't sweat anything but the experience.
Damn. Now I really want to go. Prior to this post I'd say I was over 75% not going. Its back to 50/50 now. Sheeeeeeeeeeetttt. This is a hard call!

man am i glad i put my ticket on the payment plan, because i maxed out the credit card this month, which just uncluded the first payment of the lot.

i'm all about this line-up though, i really hope i don't have too many conflicting time slots, because i hate set hopping in the middle all the time.

any thoughts on the superjam set?

i'd be down, although it might be a little harder amongst such a crowd. i guess we'd have to swap phone numbers. and i'd have to remember to turn mine on since i usually just turned it on when i was looking for my group

I'm so glad to see that some other Beastie Boys fans are headed to the Roo this year! This will be my 5th Bonnaroo and i am here to tell you that they are so much fun! I was pretty stoked to see the lineup this year with the Beasties plus NIN, MGMT, Galactic, Snoop and so many other amazing bands.

Not only is there a lot of good music to go see but you can also chill out (literally, it has some AC) in the movie tent, go see a comedien (like Jimmy Fallon!), go play some games in the arcade, or just wander around Centeroo and see what all there is. If you were wondering whether or not to go, I suggest yes! It's a great experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. Plus, Tennessee is pretty great ;-)

schedules up and the boys get main stage with david byne battling them on the 2nd stage.

only a 90 minute time slot, which is kind of lame. especially since its right before one of phish's sets....maybe they'll play overtime?

Last year was the 1st time I went to Bonnaroo. I had planned on it being a one time deal but when I heard the Boys were going to be there this year I had to throw down that loot. Almost 2 weeks to go.
