So once outside of my work building, one of the workers is standing outside having a smoke, he turns and this guy who's walking and texting at the same time walks right into him and drops and breaks his glasses.

The guy was trying to get money for his glasses but the worker had to go back in and work so the guy is standing there asking how is he going to get his money.

This guy has kind of a deformed face, especially around his eye. It looks like he really needs glasses.

I've seen him around the building, just something didn't look right about him.

Today, he's actually inside of the building and my coworker spots him and asks what he's doing inside. The guy was hesitant with an answer and next thing you know, here comes one of the execs from our building and he's opening up his wallet.

My coworker didn't feel right so he told the guy to leave before any contact could be made.

Then this guy walks to my area where I'm standing and I just do not like the vibes this guy gives off so I tell him he needs to get the fuck off of the property. He tries sticking around and I tell him that I don't think he understands me and that I have no problems tossing him into the street.

He takes off in a hurry. My coworker that initially spotted him inside the building told me that he's got a feeling that he's at the train station instead of clear out of dodge. He goes to the train station and sure enough, there's the guy.

My coworker has a hold of him, the exec of our building is contacted and meets up with the guy and we ask him if he broke the guy's glasses.

The exec said yeah and was about to pay cash to him. Come to find out, he was about to shell out $400 to the guy.

Well, needless to say, the scam artist won't be around here anymore. We got him on camera from the lobby cameras and a meme has been sent to all employees about him.

This shit makes me love my job.

LOL. A security guard with a military background and counter terrorism training that gets paid decent.

Looking out for people's interests and safety.

Regardless, my supervisor said he's seen people come out of their wallet and hand cash to him. He had no idea cause the guy is pretty good at what he does.

If the dude was supposedly walking and texting and bumped into ME and broke HIS glasses, I'd say tough luck, look where you're going buddy.

I certainly wouldn't give him any cash.

Some people are vunerable.

I'm guessing this guy was locked up before because it looks like he got the side of his face caved in, also there's a slash under his eye like a shank attack.

Convicts are good at manipulation.

Yep, me neither. I'm surprised that here in NY people don't tell him to watch where he's going and fuck off.

He does look a little intimidating and with that messed up face but it's easy to also feel sorry for him and he uses it for his advantage.

I'm wondering how many other people he's scammed. I've seen him around the area but didn't see him do anything until yesterday.

They're like Versace glasses too, expensive looking ones so I'm almost certain he's gotten no less than $100 for everytime he's done it.

He asked a question, hymen. 2 questions. I answered both.

I'm kinda glad this guy pulled his scam on an exec. Our contract has been in question because of the economy but things like this means job security.

It's ok. All I hear when I type is a bunch of clakity clack anyway. Makes a good metronome though.

I wish you had sent everyone a meme.

Imagine the looks on your coworkers' faces when a photoshop of the scam artist's face on mosh girl's body comes a knockin' on their inboxes! :D

Haha. The guy's face alone could be a meme. Something glasses related could be made from this.

"you my glasses"

Or something..

I'm no good at creating memes. It would be great if I can get his pic from the lobby camera but I won't be able to. I won't be allowed.
