somewhere in the mid 20's to upper 30's, about 20 minutes of sun and a 65% chance of some form of precipitation

we'll have that until late around st paddys day, when the temperature range will go up about 15 degrees on a whim and the chance of rain will go up to about 80%

I don't get Fahrenheit, sounds warmer than what it is but I know its not.

And freezing isn't zero. Whats with that?

Dorothy Wood
02-23-2009, 05:09 PM
celsius is stupid.

fahrenheit is awesome.

http://www.sizes.com/units/temperature_Fahrenheit.htm

and I'm not a american measurement snob. metric makes more sense for sure. but in measuring temperature, I believe that 0-100 is too small a spread to describe temperature in regard to what you can feel.

I suppose it's just what you're used to though. I just like that fahrenheit considered more factors than freezing and boiling when creating his scale.

Helvete
02-23-2009, 05:13 PM
Fuck you, Fahrensheit! You can't call celcius stupid and then say metric makes more sense.

Dorothy Wood
02-23-2009, 05:57 PM
CELSIUS STINKS!

I just said why. I don't think it's a big enough range to describe temperature as you feel it. (in whole numbers). but IT COULD BE JUST BECAUSE I'M USED TO THINKING OF IT THAT WAY GEEZ.

the only things more moronic than Fahrenheit are miles and yards.

Dorothy Wood
02-23-2009, 06:03 PM
what about inches and feet?

Helvete
02-23-2009, 06:13 PM
That's stupid also. Even though I was brought up with British units (Imperial) I soon converted to metric. Only when it comes to miles am I still a bit stuck with. I know KM well, but when I am in the UK I go back to Miles.

Dorothy Wood

I deal with inches almost every day of my life, when I try to think about centimeters, my eyeballs hurt.

they're not so bad. metric would be easier though, especially dealing with 1/16ths and whatnot. it's tough to remember the decimal equivalent when you've got to add it up on a calculator.

32 degrees is 0? That's just dumb. Meters ROCK. Celsius ROCKS. Fahrenheit can get tae FUCK. Fuck you losers. (n) (n)

The weather here has been erratic. I couldn't guess it, and I can't be bothered checking my wii for the forecast. We had a thunderstorm last night with plenty of lightening and buckets of rain. This morning it is sunny and cloud free and I expect it will get warm.

Sheesh people, there is a button to click for the English system or Metric. It is all relevant to what you grew up with, and what you are used to hearing. So shut your yappers, and post your forecast.

Mine in metric (http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/JAXX0009?from=36hr_topnav_business).

There is a country called Glasgow and they have a very special language. It's a very nasty, horrible language but exists all the same. If you see a very beautiful girl and she speaks this language, she no longer is beautiful and is just a weegie.

Examples such as 'wits 'apnin ya wee gadgie?' and 'goan te play fitbaw tha noo, then doon toon'.

So Fahrenheit has a better range but you use inches? When inches are big massive things compared to cm. Why don't you want the range when measuring?

I must say, the british is fudged up in its measurements tho. Roads are miles, weight is supermarkets is grams, weight when weighing ya self is pounds and stones, height for your self is feet and inches, but generally in building trade or any other measuring its cm & meters. Drinks are milliliters (mm) however and we don't get that confusing fluid ounces thing.

A mixture of imperial and metric is no way to run society. No wonder the banks crashed!

This thread is full of people missing other people's points.

Helvete: Pres Zount's missus (Nastee) is from Glasgow, and therefore he probably has quite a few Scottishisms circumnavigating their way around his inferior Australian brain.

Adam: Helvete was trying to fool Myu-to into thinking that Glasgow was a country in the hope that he could show him up as being a typical ignorant American who knows little about the geography of other countries.

Myu-yo: Glasgow is indeed a beautiful country that borders Australia. Perhaps you would like to visit, non?
