Tennis. I like that the ranking system is based on individual merits. Not a fan of doubles, though. It's like boxing without the risk of brain damage. Sure, "top seed" doesn't sound as good as "champion of the world", but you get to wear white after Labor Day without feeling insecure.

I'm on Oprah, I've authored a book, I'm dating a popular musician, rumors spread about how I'm back in the gym training for the next olympic games. The coaches' hopes are high. I'm back in the running again. A popular song has been written about me.

Finally, just when everyone thinks I'm going to pull through, I die in a horrible car crash in the hills of Monte Carlo. Everyone wonders what could have been. Let the tribute specials begin.
