This has been a topic at work the past week, the general consensus is outside of speed bumps, road head seems safer than cell phone usage while driving.
especially safer than texting

KETTERING, Ohio—Police say an Ohio mother has been charged with child endangering after another driver reported she was breast-feeding and talking on the phone while driving.

You see I hate seeing people on the phone while driving and I won't do it. But road head I've never refused.
I've noticed in the past I've slowed down to about 30mph in a 70 zone. Which is pretty dangerous, you just don't notice! But I've only ever received at night when its quiet.

i've talked on the phone a handful of times, and it certainly does distract me a bit, but i usually only half pay attention to the phone anyway, so its no biggie.
texting on the other hand has to be reserved for stop lights. i can't see the stupid letters if im trying to drive!
No 'both at once' option?
