Is Robert Downey Jr. in it?
Is there a lot of rock music in the background?
Is there comedy?
Is that long haired actress good or bad?
Is it sexy in parts?

Where did you sit in the movie theater and what was the crowd like?

[spoilers, but not big ones]
if u were pretty fuckin stoned you'd laugh a lot at the abnormal things in the movie (naked blue men for example)
Robert Downey Jr. is not in it, thought the person who plays Comedian does look a lot like him.
There is not too much rock music in the background. Lots of music though, most of it is 80s music though (movie takes place in 85) though it works well with the scenes.
Long haired actress is good. Every actor in it did extremely well. Lots of new faces that will soon be big names.
Is it sexy in parts? Yes.... very. They stuck to the graphic novel and it does indeed have all the nudity it had. Which is lots. And two sex scenes.
out of 10? I'd give it a 10 for various reasons. Mostly the unadaptable has been adapted now. Things did change but they were good decisions that work well. I can see most movie goers having problems with it due to just how out there it is in comparison to other 'comic' movies. But if you know the source material you'll know what you're getting into. If not, be open minded and you'll love it.
was it good?
yes. I'm going to see it again at midnight at universal studios thursday
Movie theater questions:
I sat in the middle of the theater more towards the front (we were the last to get in) but the location was perfect. The crowd was into it, most of them were fanboys. It was almost bothersome sometimes cuz when certain badass moments were about to come up some of the crowd would go "ohhhh" in anticipation.
ALSO
HOW i saw it. I was at a diner beside the theater with about 10 friends for me and a friend's birthday and then our friends run in yelling we need to leave and go to the movies, random selection for the screening was going on. So... we got our asses out of that diner and ran to the theater. Yeahhhh.

Did you have any snacks during the movie? If so what were they, and were they any good? Do you feel that your snacks went well with the movie? Do you think that another snack would have gone better?
Also, did you see it at night or day? If you saw it during the day did you sneeze when you walked out into the daylight? Any time that I see a movie with brother, and it's during the day, he sneezes when he comes out into the daylight.

Are the visual effects huge and breathtaking, making it worth seeing on the big screen? I limit myself to just a few theater viewings a year and I want it to be worth it, otherwise I'll wait and rent it. Is it up there with Jurassic Park?

I wasn't really interested in seeing this movie because I think it looks ugly. but I keep seeing this huge billboard on the way to work that makes me want to see it. and by "see it", I mean bang the dude on the billboard.
it's like this, but wider and cooler:

Were there obnoxious 12 year olds bellowing and throwing popcorn throughout the film?
Did you punch them in their wee adorable faces?

Is it the mustache?
yes, and the flame. and the general fountain of manliness spurting from his stance. it's certainly not the bangs.

i'd put the visual effects way up there. Zach Snyder is amazing at that. Everyone looks fantastic visually.
no kids throwing popcorn.

tell me the ending.
Nygel
03-03-2009, 06:18 PM
alright, ending is below... highlight it.
Ozy and Manhatten are working on an energy source that is based on Manhatten's energy signature. Later on Ozy uses that source and shoots it at major cities around the world. This works the same as the original comic version as the world unites against a greater outside power, thus stopping war.
i could go more in depth, but that is really the gist of it.

That makes me mad, because of the apparent lack of the giant squid monster

think about it logically. To use that then it'd take over 3/4 the movie explaining the background of it and making it and all that shit. Also, it's lame. it really is. and it would never work in a cinema, people would laugh there asses out of the theater if they saw that thing pop up. the new device works on a better level. or atleast that is my opinion.
fuck. I just read Matt's bit. Fuckity fuck fuck.

Yeah, but still. It's kind of tradition, and I really hoped they'd handle it well on the big screen. You know, make it more frightening than it was in the comic. It didn't really have that much of an explanation in the book, either. Just a few panels here and there showing snippets of that story, which equates to maybe 5-10 minutes of actual film, then Ozymandias explaining it at the end, which I'm sure he does with the new plot device. But whatever, I'm still gonna see it, and the lack of the giant squid monster won't ruin the movie for me.
@camo: That's what you get for reading my posts, dammit.

People will bitch and complain about the soundtrack and some story things and such, but they can't bitch abotu the cinematography, snyder knows how to make movies look amazing.
also, the opening sequence, brilliant. my favorite opening credits to a movie i've ever seen.
