I had my uniform fitting today. I'll be a USAF tech SGT. for honor guard. Full class A Airforce dress blues.

Friday I'll get more info but for now I know I'll make an appearence for a funeral.

This is Angelina Jolie's new movie in case people are wondering. Fuckin' New York I tell ya.

I was an extra when Jolie filmed Life or Something Like It in Seattle.

She was beautiful in person as is in pictures, her face was like porcelain, seriously no pores, no flaws.

And she was super nice. In this one scene I ended up in the same spot as her at the end of the shot and her mic pack was sticking out of the back of her costume (which was a dolce and gabbana suit) and I knew it would wreck the shot if it stayed that way. But I didn't know if I should talk to her so I thought I could surreptitiously fix it without her noticing but of course she did notice. But she didn't care that I had touched her clothing, she turned around and said, oh, was it sticking out? I wheezed a little bit. She smiled and said thanks.

Really nice lady.

It's cool to hear she's a sweetie. I don't follow anything about celebs, I couldn't care less about looking at her lips and all.

I didn't even ask about pay for this. I should have being that I filled out an application. I'm just stoked that I'll appear in a movie.

You'll be there for like 14-16 hours probably and get paid about a hundred bucks but it'll be interesting.

Incidentally, Ed Burns was also nice but I didn't talk to him.

It's a nice looking uniform. I haven't ever thought I'd be wearing airforce blues but if it's for a movie then I'm all for it.

Also I can make a hundred bucks for doing so on a Saturday. I can get paid, hit the pub and spend it all afterwards!

Eh, I'll just have my mug in a movie. It's cool though, I can watch it with the little one and see if she can point me out.

Hpd is more of a star cause she's done it before me.

Regardless of whether I get paid that day or not, I'm still hitting the pub afterwards. You should show your ass up so I can buy a few.

just standing around right now till they tell me what to do next.

Pretty cool though, got the NYPD Emerald Society bagpipe marching band, a shitton of service members and cops.

Can't tell what it's for. Don't want to spoil anything.

I'm not too enthused honestly. A lot of resets and it's 7pm and I'm just now getting finished.

I got home from work at 1am from standing on my feet all day and had to be here at 5am so I didn't bother sleeping and I also standed all day here.

It may be a better experience for me if I've slept and the weather was better.

Well, still have next Saturday to do this. Hopefully it's warmer.

Bah. I'm just tired and my feet hurt.

It still was a different experience and I know what to expect next week.

If it's cold again there's not much I can do to keep warm. You can't put too many layers on under the uniform. Just need to suck it up.

It was sickening. One of the extras- female had a seizure and the fucking paparazzi was all over her filming while she was convulsing on the ground.

Up her skirt and everything. Fucking vultures.

that's sad.

working around extras is kind of depressing. them and live studio audience clappers. they are always waiting for some producer behind the camera to discover them and they take themselves way too seriously on the set.

I don't see how these people dedicate themselves to be extras in numerous roles after my experience.

Most of the people I was talking to were extras in Law and Order and various other parts where they spend all hours in the cold only to have the back of their head appear for a second.

One guy said he spent 18 hours on set and the only thing you could see of him was a brief shot of the bald spot on the top of his head. He said if he used rogaine, he wouldn't even recognize himself.

I'm only standing at attention for this. You'll see me for a whole 2 seconds I bet.
