View Full Version : i'm going to ride my bike downtown to the bar for the first time this year

i rode to work the other day when it was like 60 but then it got cold again.

it's like 75 degrees out now and crystal clear. i'm more excited about the ride than getting a drink.

i'm not really a hyper-bike person who is all into it, but i like it.

I used to have a BMX that I took everywhere and into town etc to get drunk. On the way back it was insane. I live in a hilly place so I used to find I had loads of energy to sprint up the hills although a bit wobbly but as soon as I laid in bed I felt like I was gonna fall off and throw up.

I've got into many arguments with other road users as I ride my bike drunk in the dark with no lights on the road. :o

You wouldn't believe convenient it is also. Like if you need to race off to pick up some pot, rizla, food, some other mates. Plus getting home is easy and fun cus you don't feel it and the hangover is less because you've sweated it out on the way back.

I should really fix up my BMX.

someone should make a film called BMX Boozers or something.A gang of bmx-ers just going round bars on their bikes getting drunk and having fights and getting chased by cops on those scooters and falling sideways into hedges or down ditches.They could have a really bad hangover before a major bmx race tournament and lose cos they're too fucked up but get laid at the end and get some STD's(y)

The BMX culture is kinda like that tho. Well actually its not, but there is some like me who weigh 16+ stone heavy drinkers and heavy into exercise as a way of getting round that its for more convenience and fun rather than anything else.

Now the weather is becoming nicer its perfect for it.

Bouncing Souls give off that image as well, but they met cus of local BMX rival gangs I think.

i'm going to buy a bike when it starts getting a bit sunnier. i rode a bike for the first time in about ten years a month back. i was impressed i didn't impale myself on a bollard.

one of the projectionists at work got arrested for drunk bike riding, HA! imagine! embarrassing x 100.

i used to ride my bike to the bar everytime i went because who the hell wants to walk 10 blocks drunk. there is actually a bike rack outside. best excuse for a basket on the front is for a chilled 40

my bike got stolen at the movie theater :(

i think ill do this myself as well, there are a slew of bars within range, that are just slightly too far to walk to, so its perfect.


i also want to ride my bike to work via the train. what sucks is "peak hours" where its not allowed start super early in the morning so i don't know if that will work out or not...
