I had a conversation with myself last night. But, I think it was just different elements of my brain trying to make reason of various things. I hadn't slept in a couple days. One voice told the other that it had been around for a long time, witnessing all of my pain and the pain of others, and that the other more docile voice was a new invention used to lift the spirits of the others during hard times. The first voice was kind of harsh and condescending, saying things like you'd be this dead inside if you saw what I saw. I think it went something like that I wasnt really paying attention.

I bought some bargain CDs, not collections but old albums; one Styx CD and a David Bowie CD. The Styx is under the seat of my car and as for the David Bowie; well it wasn't what I normally like to listen to but I think it was worth it as a learning experience, kind of like that time I was looking through the attic when I was living at home and I accidentally found those nude photos of my mom. The Laughing Gnome song gives me the creeps but it's nice to know there was more to David Bowie than I had imagined, that he was young once, vulnerable, possibly foolish, naive, still trying to find himself.
