I prefer an old lazy cat that is self sufficient over a smelly, needy, slobbery pup that needs to be walked three or four times a day.

2 dogs, 2 hamsters, 2 turtles, 2 katanas and no cats. Would have liked to have one cat in the house since no one in here allows my dogs inside :(. It just seem like cats are the indoor type. But my parents would prefer dogs over cats because cats have the stinky-ish unbearable type of shit. Is what they say. Either way I still wuv my dargs.

I think the majority however love pussies. btw - I dont need to rub my dog's vagina when they are in heat, booooooooooosh! :p

I got bit/snapped at/chased by a big dog when I was a kid. Didnt scar or do much beyond terrify me. I actually completely forgot about it until about three months ago. I've since made peace with dogs, but I still get a little annoyed with the jumpy ones.

I have two cats, and I love them :)

i was more scared of dogs when i was little. i got chased by a GIANT german shepard on my way home from school once. i got on the roof of someone's car till the owner came to get it. scared shitless.

Indoor cats need a backyard and a forest to run around in. I had an apartment cat and he was shedding everywhere. After my parents adopted him he became an outdoor cat, he walks to the door when he needs to go outside and there has never been a need for a litter box.

He'll stay out overnight or he'll go on stealth undercover cat missions for days, he's like the mayor of the block. His mentor would be proud.

thats the only thing i like about cats, is how some cats can survive on their own like that

I adore German Shepherds. They're pretty much the best dog there is...provided they're well trained.

dogs are just more "alive", i dunno. cats would just shit on your face given the chance. they already rub their asses all over you to say hello

I've only had cats. The two at my new place are bitches. They used to be awesome but we were only fostering them at the time. When we gave them to my sister's friend they didn't get along with the other cats there so we took them back. They came back as a bunch of fucking assholes. But I still love them.
Never had a dog. Always wanted one. Except they stink. But I'd love to take my dog for a walk in the woods and shit like that. I'll get one once I have a bigger house with a bigger yard.

i actually got a CHUNK bitten off my ass by a german shepherd when i was about 7 or so. only stitches i've ever had.

i like my pomeranian. she's not a tiny fluff ball pom either so she's more dog like and super fun. she listens extremely well and likes to play rough. she's cute.

look at her smiling!!!

aww @ doggie ^

you dont have much ass to spare when you're 7, so that dog bit yo ass off basically.

.

i think it would show that people like what they have... i hated dogs till my sister got two. they're so smart! i like that they can learn new things

rock doesnt strike me as the cat type, i bet he'll like dogs better when he gets one.

this debate will go on for the history of mankind. and you always get crazy dog/cat people who get seriously offended and take everything personally.

cats ftw.
cats are bad ass. cats are like the ninjas of the animal kingdom. the best thing about cats is that they are super intelligent and independent. cats know they don't really need you. they can go off and hunt if they didn't love the cuddles. when they want some love, they'll ask for it. they don't wag their tails blindly and you'll never see cats jumping through hoops in a crufts-alike competition. they can be aloof as fuck but hey. it gives them personality. plus they are more attractive. i'm sorry, but that is a FACT.

i do not like dogs mostly because i don't want to touch them. if i am forced into stroking a dog just to look accommodating i will wash my hands afterwards. seeing people 'kiss' their dogs where the dogs lick their faces all over! oh my god! i cannot stand it! i know some people are REALLY into their dogs - fine, this is just me - but i could never do it. cats' saliva is a natural deodorant! true story. er, not that i would ever use a cat as a deodorant or let them lick my face.

You'd never get a cat to be a servant. You ever see a cat return a stick? "Hey, man! You threw the stick, you go get it yourself! I'm busy! If you wanted the stick so bad, why'd you throw it away in the first place?"

FUNNY STORY!

last night i was relaxing in the bed and kitties were laying near me sleeping.
i looked up and saw my doggie in the hallway and gave her that
"i'm gonna git ya" look and she barked. my siamese jumped up with
all 4 feet off the bed and tail all puffy. he ran to the edge of the bed
and watched the dog run toward me. once she got to me the cat
jumped off the bed and hit the dog in the head like 5 times.

it was hilarious!

Cats are cool. Dogs drool. I like dogs as well but living in an apartment it doesn't fit well. I wish other people would see that. Dogs need yards, those dog parks just do not cut it. And I'm talking about DOGS. Any dog that is the same size or smaller than your average house cat should be considered as overgrown rats with ADD.

One of my cats used to play fetch with a rope she used to drag around with her everywhere. She would jump on my bed at night with the rope in her mouth and i would throw it to get her away from me and then she would bring it back. this went on for about 20 minutes...every night....for about 9 months.

And then she died as a baby.

She also was friends with the neighborhood skunk. They would wrestle and run around the neighborhood together. It was cool.

Also I think i will always be a cat person. As its been said before..they are independent. I like that. I don't like needy things and dogs seem very needy. But I still want a dog. A big dog I can wrassle with. Too bad they stink and drool alot. I'll get over it though.

My friend's cat plays fetch, but because it's a cat it's cool though, all dogs do that, they think they are just going to get food for it. Cats do it because they are pure killers.

cats can be needy too. i have one that cries at night if she can't find you. we're ALWAYS in the bed, but she can't seem to find us.

The other day I had a ride in a car where a dog had been.
It smelled so bad I had to open the window and try to breath the cool air from outside....

Yeah I'm a cat person.

I think cats are so much cuter, and I'm shallow like that. I also love how careful they are, and quiet. But because they have such subtle expressions, I find them to be more unpredictable than dogs. Barking is almost always annoying, but meowing can be adorable.

That said, there are some pretty adorable dogs out there, as long as they don't get muddy paw prints on me.

I heard that cats only meow to communicate with humans - they usually wouldn't make a sound...
