Just punched my ticket to the show! :) Can't believe I did the subscription, but it'll be worth it to sit in the pool circle for the Beasties!

I don't know about this. It's good to have them in L.A. but 2 years ago they played a way more intimate and cheaper show (at the Fonda I think). The Bowl sucks for shows unless you get really good tickets, and even then the vibe is way mellow. Everyone has to stay in their seats. What are YOU gonna do when they play Sabotage? Bob your head and tap your foot. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????

Yeah, I almost got tickets to Radiohead at the Hollywood Bowl last year but ended up hitting shows in a few other cities instead. I have always wanted to go to the Hollywood Bowl but when I saw the view from most of the seats it made me sad. I hope this is going to be one of many shows in the fall . . . .
BTW, I owe Jenny big time for that Fonda gig. Holy shit that was one of my favorite shows.

The Fonda show WAS awesome!
Can't fucking wait for the Hollywood Bowl show! That will be epic, most Bowl shows can be long with a nice set list. The Cure did a 3 hour set last year there and no one was sitting most of the show so I'm not sure what manwich is talking about. There might be seperate 'rules' for regular orchestra shows but the concert shows I've been there to have not been that way.

Personally, I figure I have seen them plenty of times in small gigs, front row, so paying less and sitting further back now is not as big of a deal. I love to be up front soaking up all the energy first hand, but I probably can't afford it so I will take what I can get.

Oh no, I realize you can stand at the show, you don't have to stay seated. But it is seating in the sense that you can't move around or get up close if you don't buy a $75 ticket (which will be gone or be $300 bucks once the scalpers get em). The seats WILL be there in your way of getting your B-boy limpin' on. Sounded like DandyFop had a good point though, if you wanna see 'em, you'll def see them there, I just think it has to be realized it will not be like the Fonda show or any show with a GenAdmin setup. I'm down to see them live, but honestly, I went and saw Nick Cave at the Bowl this past fall and he had two opening acts who took up a lot of his stage time and the vibe was a little off. He was killing it on stage but folks around were loving it, but really just watching the spectacle. I guess it varies. Sounds like the Cure show would've been legendary.
I do hope they play some smaller venue shows, cause when they do...it's gonna be nuts!!!!!
i'll bring my picnic basket of fine china and all will be good - especially during Sabotage...
paulb - #25??? wow.
