Bob says it's great as you can sell lots of drugs on it

I have to get a DS first.maybe next week

A reviewer for one the UK newspapers says it's the best GTA experience ever or something.

Yeah, I forget what it was called but you were in a biker gang.

I don't have xbox live or a DS so I won't be checking out either of them. I haven't actually beat GTA IV yet either.

The biker add-on to GTA4 is called 'The Lost and Damned'.

'Chinatown Wars' is set in the GTA4 universe, but isn't an add on to GTA4 - it's a Nintendo DS spin-off.

I've had it for a few weeks now. It's amazing what they've fitted onto that little catridge.

You play as Huarong on his visit to Liberty City to hand a sword over to his uncle.

You hot wire cars too (y)

yeah i'm really digging the stylus minigames. i love the PDA too, it's so incredibly functional and fun to use (with the stylus)

i'm a little ambivalent about the new police chase system, though; taking out cars without guns has always been one of the more frustrating parts about GTA games, and in this one you have to do it every time you get the police on your ass. fortunately they're pretty fragile but it can still be hard to line up your shots correctly. it does make it easier to shake the cops when you get higher wanted levels though; instead of incessantly hounding you until you finally get away you can kind of whittle them down bit by bit until it's easier to get away.

It is fun trying to ram them off the road though but yeah I'm not that big on it either, I did prefer the 'ring' thing they did for evading cops in number 4.

yeah, i thought that was really perfect. it created pretty intense chases on higher levels. i liked ducking in and out of alleys in algonquin, especially on foot

yup.

One thing that I find with the ds version is the cars don't leave large enough gaps for you to squeeze through so I often find myself just bouncing around off other cars when I drive at speed.

there's that, and i also find that the foot cops are really quite fast, and you can find yourself getting yanked out of your car without warning (combined with the fact that the limited field of view makes it hard to see them coming). i also keep accidentally blowing through toll booths because i can't see far enough ahead to stop in time

still a damn fun game, but i must say, i kind of enjoy the stylus gimmicks (and the drug trading) more than the core gameplay

true true.

I just marvel at amount of effort that has gone into it. I really didn't have high hopes for it when I first saw it.

My only other gripe is the lack of vocals in the music or voice acting.
Suikoden Tierkreis has a shed load of voice acting and it does double the size of the cartridge but it would have been worth it imo.

It's obviously not going to have tons of music and stuff or the same kind of gameplay as in San Andreas and beyond.I think it's just made to be a 'DS' version of the genre.

store was sold out when I looked. that rarely happens to me because I am usually so far behind the curve.

I think it may depend on the color choices. I don't want a blue one and I'm not sure I can live with black. :(

Black is fucking awesome. I'm on the fence about this title. Everyone and their mom loves it but the same happened with GTA4. And that lost it's flavor fast. Besides, I'm still (SLOWLY) working on beating Chrono Trigger.

I'm usually not feminine when it comes to gadgets but I love my pink DS. I don't even like the rose one. I like the true pink. Even white would be better. Or red. Maybe I could take black if it's not too shiny.

I recently bought my girl friend a ds, so I may now have to buy this to play on it.

Edit: £17.99 on play.com (http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/6072242/-/Product.html) (y)
