Why are we still walking?

I mean come on, it's been the future for AGES now and we still walk about everywhere? There are still no mass produced flying cars, no personal levitation devices, no time travel, no teleporting, we haven't met any aliens yet, we don't fly to other galaxies and bother things on other planets, NOTHING!

I am really disappointed with the future so far, it's completely not how I expected it to be. Even in Back to the Future 2 they had hoverboards, and you know that's only like 6 years away. They need to get moving.
