Do you name your car?

Do you hate your car?

What car do you desire?

Me, I drive a 1999 ford fiesta, I like it but its on its last legs, I dont have a name for it tho. I want one of those Qashqai's.

I have three cars.

These aren't pictures of mine, I've just googled them. All the same colours.

Day to day motor (http://www.virtual-showroom.co.uk/images/vehicles/9781_99002_1_0.jpg).

My little run around (http://cdn.motors.co.uk/d/used-photos/large/C/V/CV54KOA.jpg) (oldest car)

Newest one (http://www.acklamcarcentre.co.uk/images/cars/zoom/1199464304-64474000.jpg) for the summer.

None of them are named though.

I hate the asian lads of Bradford for wanting to race me in the Audi all the sodding time. I hate how soft the paint is on the Fiat -it scratches to easily and I hate not being able to find the mazda in crowded car parks.

I drive a BMW 5 Series, it's great. People say BMW drivers are assholes, and thery're right. Names are fucking stupid for cars, it's an object and it's an 'it' not her or whatever.

Next car will be a bigger faster BMW, want to wait until I am 25 for that though.

I have a 98 VW Polo. Had it since new, I love it.

I also have a motorbike - '08 Honda CBF 125 (2009 Model), I love that to.

I don't name them.

edit: forgot desire. I'm happy with my car but for a bike it'd be a BMW Tourer probably but not really thought about it too much - that style tho.

Yeah, but I've only got one car! I know it's a 40 year old's car, but I like it. Didn't want to be like the 23 year old asians in Luton driving their 3 series BMWs trying to race me!

Camo, when did you get those other two cars - thought you were skintos - did you win the lottery???

Why on earth do you want 3 cars? Sorry, in this country I find that impossible to rationalise with the taxes we have to pay.

Me. Just one VW Golf, 4 years old. I love it.

I drive a black 2007 Audi A3 Sportback.

I love it because the motor is very economical (1.4 L TFSI which uses about 8 Liters per 100 km) and goes very fast anyhow (205 km/h). :D

But we bought the wrong audiosystem for the car...

I'm not skint, just couldn't afford that apartment!

I've had the Mazda for a few months...there's some great winter/recession bargains on them right now!

The Audi 1 year and 4 months.

The Punto has been for sale since last November, so really I should just have two because the Mazda was it's replacement.

Yeah I'm the same height and I was worried about it with the MX5 but it's a really snug fitting driving position.

i really like the loko and feel of the cooper for some reason. if they were a bit cheaper, i probably would have picked one up...

but since i was looking economy, i went with the 2008 toyota yaris,2-door hatchback model.

i love the thing, it gets terrific mileage, the only thing i wish i had was anti-lock brakes. i've got about 13k miles on it thus far.

edit: oh, and it got dubbed the name 'fergie'

I ride a bicycle. got rid of my motor vehicle 5 years ago.

I borrow cars from friends when I really need to. I find that life is a lot less stressful when you don't own a car. I do kind of miss being able to drive anywhere any time though.

'08 Toyota Tacoma 4x4....gets me to my camping spots. I call it the SS Taco. SS for silver spider. Silver for the color and spider cuz there is a spider web that keeps appearing in the same corner of the bed since I bought it new. When this is paid off I'm buying an M3.

Indeed, my bf got a ticket from the police this morning because the pig said that the muffler sound to loud. But the thing is that we are fully legal, we passed the inspection 3 months ago, so that fucking cop was an asshole. I will protest it . There is no law against a sport muffler.

I wish i had no car. It is a money pit.

My car has been off the road for about 6 months until 2 days ago. Its nice to have back and I feel 17 again driving new. But it was easy enough surviving without it. Anyway, now I've got it back I've made loads of extra journeys. I just can't help driving, but I am enjoying driving atm, grin on my face while people cut me up who seem stress at life and I'm just smiling. :) Suckers

of the many things i love about my car, the audio system is tops. <3 subwoofer! i also love it's itty bitty front and digital spedometer!

2001 Nissan Altima purchased 2004 and paid off.

It has a little rust/scratches/dents, blown speakers, and could use some new tires, struts, and an oil change but I love it.

I'm gonna invest in fixing it up rather than buying another vehicle, I need to save the money for kid costs and my Master's degree - after earning that degree I will treat myself to a used volvo c30 or cross country

my one and only vehicle in my life was a 1990 geo metro, with 3 cylinders.

GANGSTA.

p.s. I loved that little shit to death. It was cheap as hell so it saved me tons of $$$. <3

I now love not needing to own a car. If I were to get one though, I want another small economical car. Mayne not AS cheap as the geo, though.

its my third anniversary of being able to drive today. I was a late starter but passed me test when the missus got pregnant. one of the things i am proudest of was being able to do it cos i thought it was hopeless at one point.

But i still dont like driving, I am a bit more prouder of my car but i still cant get all jeremy clarkson about driving.

its made me lazy as well, i used to walk everywhere or get the bus but now i drive to the local shop which is very bad for me and the planet.

2005 Subaru Forester XT. I really like it, AWD for the shitty roads I have to drive on, enough space for the kids and their related crap, and a turbo to go fast.

I'm looking to get rid of it soon but don't know what. The new Foresters are so slow, and I don't like any of the others in this segment (Rav4, Outlander, X-Trail etc) apart from maybe the VW Tiguan. I like the Ford Focus XR5, bit still a bit small. A blown V6 or a V8 (SS Commodore preferably) would be brilliant, but thirsty and I'd be mistaken for a massive bogan. In my dreams I'd be buying a Porsche GT3 RS.

Yeah, don't fear learning to drive. Its the crashing afterwards you've gotta be scared of.

I did 1/3rd of the driving examination to become a Driving Instructor and the best advice I've been given is think of a license as a License To Kill, you will then drive more defensively and safer.

Hope I haven't put you off, cus I don't mean to. Just that if more people understand that you have over a tonne of metal in control at speed in their hands, more people would slow down. We don't have the space on our roads in the UK for big fast killer cars - I don't understand why people want them cus they are stuck in the same traffic as my 998cc car.

Oooh, sorry, its early again and I'm going into rant mode. Need more coffee!

I didn't learn to drive until I was 23. Shameful enough, but it's easy to learn. In the early days, develop some good habits. Check your mirrors, and watch what's happening at least 2 cars in front of you when you can.

If I can do it, anyone can.

why never buy a new one? the interest rate is lower and you have great warranties.

You automatically half the value of any new car you buy. Right as you drive it off the lot, it owes you far more than you can ever get back.

As in latest model.

not sure if its the same where you are but in uk its about a grand off the minute it leaves the showroom but some people buy a brand new car and trade it in each year for a new one for very little cost and some people do that for years although i really dont understand how it doesnt cost them but i think a lot of people in uk do it

Basically, you buy a car on finance, drive it around, and pay the monthly payments. Then you trade it for roughly what the car is worth new less the payments you've made. It wont be exact but it will be within a few thousand whatevers. You use the trade in money to repay the finance you owe, and then buy a new car on finance, and go round the cycle again.

I achieved the exact 'by the book' 0-100km time last night in my car. Okay, it wasn't really that fast as I only have a small engined BMW, but it was alright. I'm too scared to try and drift it though, but I want to find out the limits of my car, you know, for safety reasons.
