according to the leaks, their album Veckatimest is sounding pretty damn good so far.

I have been listening to While You Wait For The Others for a few months and love it.
I hope their new album is good. Yellow House was ok but got dull, in my opinion. Love Knife though.

I've listened to "Two Weeks" 16 times in the past 3 days. That song is literally like a dream to me. :o

yes, I've listened to "two weeks" like 50 times in the last few days. and the album 5 times yesterday (at work) and 3 times today.
it's altered my perception of reality.
I think I need to alter my perception of reality to get why everyone is going crazy about these guys.
Its ok, but I don't understand why they are "so good".
What songs will make me a believer?

well, I like the whole album. but I will say it wasn't instant. I watched the Two Weeks video and was intrigued at first, but didn't love it so much. but I thought the video was really weird and different, which was interesting to me.
then I did some research, and found this:

that song's not on the album, but it kinda just shows that they're a group of dudes who just make really pretty songs. their voices fit together nicely and there's no gimmick. I guess they kinda fit in with the whole fleet foxes folk sorta genre that's going on right now, but they're a lot more dynamic I think.
I dunno, they remind me of crosby, stills, nash and young sometimes too. and they're also considered "progressive" I guess, and I'm a huge prog geek. sometimes they seem radiohead-esque.
there's just a lot of things going on that suit my taste perfectly. I wouldn't say it's for everyone though.
try "ready, able" and "southern point"
