they're coming to boston, and the tickets sold out in an hour, and scalped tickets are going for about $85 on craigslist and i'm sort of vaguely tempted to buy one because i really do like them

my head is saying no, and my heart is also saying no, until i get it drunk, and then it says "probably not, but maybe man, maybe" so i figured i'd see what the BBMB says

no, i'm guessing, but still, it could be nice?

I don't know, you probably should.

I have tickets in the 3rd row though, don't know if it would be worth it to see them if you have to pay that much to see them from a billion miles away.

Yeah. You should.

Or wait till the show gets closer and people are more desperate to get rid of them, you can probably find some cheaper.

go because if you don't,in ten years time you'll be saying 'Ah I wish I'd have gone to see F.O.T.C.' before they became fat and bald

Depends on the venue. I don't know how entertained I'd be if I were in stadium seating as opposed to a small pub.

No. it won't be as funny as you think. I say you go to the venue the day of the show and wait for the desperate people who had friend drop out of going and buy those tickets on the cheap. Then it will be worth it. Second season not so good.

figure out how much you are willing to pay, and stick that amount of cash in your pocket, keep most of it in one pocket, and the rest in another.

you take the one chunk and offer that first, and if the guy won't budge, you can pull out the other bit and make it your final offer. but you gotta try and drive those guys down, especially last minute

Check Craigslist the day before the show.

On a separate note, I don't think these guys are very funny at all.

Get the set list, first. If Sugalumps, Business Time, HipHopotamus, and Foux Du Fafa are on the set list, yes...otherwise, not so much.

Season 2 had better story lines but not as many funny songs.

I was right first!!

I haven't watched any of the second season...I like them a bunch, but their seasons should be more like 6 episodes instead of 12 or however many there were. I think that formula works better for those kinda shows, because it doesn't overdo the bit.

Also Eugene Mirman is a gas.

I haven't seen the second season, so I still like them.

also, mirms is opening for them. he's probably going to think me and cort are stalkers. either that or he'll recognize us and go "oh hey! you girls again, awesome, come back stage with me and be best friends with everybody"

go for it.

when your 80 and look back on your life, you most likely wont miss 85 quid, but you'll remember seeing a funny show once.

i heard people talking about flight of the conchords but i dont know what it is but i bet bob is funnier than fotc, they should pay him 85 dollar!

Echewta

You could use that money and have two weeks worth of Tacobell. You can look back and say "yea, I'm out 85 bucks and ate Tacobell for 14 days straight." Or gay, if thats what you are. I don't judge.

Nice!

And I'd like to add that I find the show hilarious.

I haven't seen any of the second season though.

i would say it was a $38 show, maybe not a $50 show, but i'm still happy i went. i got shitty seats (it was in a hockey arena and i was sitting on the exact opposite side of the stadium, lengthwise :( ) so i could only really see what was happening on the jumbo vision screens, so it was kind of like i was watching them on TV, really. also bret had a cold or something and it kept throwing him off, but it was still kind of charming actually. also they did not play the humans are dead which i found very upsetting because i love that song and they've never even really done it properly on the show.

but apart from that i had fun. eugene mirman and the woman that plays mel opened, the banter was good, they did too many dicks on the dance floor. 4 out of 5

glad i didn't spend $85 though

now you can spend $35 on candy!
